    Interesting information Terry, thanks.

I have been keeping track of the COVID data on a daily basis for several months. And the increase in daily tests is amazing. And as of yesterday there were over 523,000 tests per million population in this country. I know that in that data there are people with multiple tests, but even so that means approximately half the country have had tests and that is increasing daily. That alone would lead to increased cases, but not increased deaths.

My wife Jeanne had a scare and a negative test but so far I have not been tested. Looking forward to the vaccination and we will get ours as soon as possible.

Thanks again for posting this information and I apologize again for reading your first post to quickly and thinking you had contacted the virus.

I saw an article today where Fauci is reported as saying that the Vaccine will not likely prevent the person to person transmission of the disease, that it will block or lessen the symptoms/consequences of virus for the vaccinated person, but they can still be infected with the virus and spread it to other people if we don't continue to wear masks and practice the current recommended public health measures.

So until a significant portion of the population is vaccinated we're stuck with masks and social distancing I guess.

Also saw that vaccinations may start as early as next month.

    In reference to Gippers link.

Our son told us about this and it is a big revelation.

So looking forward to the day this is all behind us and a truthful analysis is made.

So the target is 300 million americans vaccinated by June 2021. Vaccinations will be starting in mid-December targeting elderly and front line workers.

Can somebody tell me if there is going to be an age on the lower end that they won't vaccinate initially? I'm not sure if any of the trials have included children. Not exactly sure what is the youngest age that was included in the trials, but somehow I doubt it was a 10 y/o

A bit of research turned up that Pfizer is just now starting a trial of children from 12-15. So it would seem that under 12 might have to wait awhile before they can get the vaccine. A lot of the vaccines that children get, MMR and the like are not new I wonder if when they were being developed how were they tested, since they are given to very young children.

Healthcare and front line workers of all kinds have to go first. Then seniors. Then those with other serious health complications. I heard an MD say that herd immunity, which is the ultimate goal is achived when 70% of the population has been immunized. Surveys suggest that less than 50% of those polled have any interest in getting the vaccine. In NJ, only 30% of residents are cooperating with contact tracing efforts. As with most things, we have identified the problem and it is us.

I wonder if they will give the vaccine to those that have already had Covid. Herd immunity occurs when 70% have been vaccinated or have had the virus. Those who choose to not get vaccinated should eventually contribute to herd immunity the hard way.

Unknown is how long protection lasts...either from the vaccine or from having the infection.

    From the article:
    Gee, I wonder.

    This is pure BS:
It is absolutely NOT IRRELEVANT if the reporting is over-exaggerated!!

New York Times has 4 questions that depending on how you answer them determines where you stand in line for the Vaccine. Here's my report.

Based on your risk profile, we believe you’re in line behind very few people across the United States.

When it comes to Texas, we think you’re behind very few others who are at higher risk in your state.

And in Harris County, you’re behind very few others.

If the line in Texas was represented by about 100 people, this is where you’d be standing:

The Graphic the questionnaire generates shows me as #2 in the line of 100 people.

What’s inevitable and already announced with some airlines and cinemas whenever they open again is they will require proof of vaccination before entering or boarding. There is a segment of our population that cannot take the vaccination, my son being one of those. He had to get a special waiver to attend college because the university required an array of vaccinations that he could not take. I’m assuming that would be required as well for those with the same problem

It'll be interesting to see how that kind of rule would be instituted... Seeing as they won't have vaccinations available for everyone for quite a while.

Sorry... you can't fly because you're a lawyer...
