Here's what I gleaned: As a four-year LOI signee and then a juco transfer, Sheffield will be subject to the "424 rule". That is, first a four-year school signee, then to a two-year juco, and then another four-year school after juco. Under the 424 rule, Sheffield must complete 60 hours of cumulative and transferable classwork to be re-admitted to a second four-year school but that's it. Get that done, and he is free to go anywhere.
So he'll have to stay the whole year at Blinn to get to 60 hours I assume. But at least he'll get to play and Blinn is a decent program so baring injury he should be very ready to play Sept '17 for somebody.
Deflecting attention from the Irish legal troubles. What's going on in Miami, I saw something about players and improper use of auto from a dealer? :?
Huh!!!, WHAT!!! Dammit just when I thought we were totally off the radar Terry pulls a fast one.....Fastest selling shirt on campus is Canes vs Convicts at the moment... Well it seems a couple players wanted some classy cars or high end rides to impress the ladies and each other, because nobody will ever find out or notice what's going on, so they concocted something worthy of Fred Flintstone and got caught. Couple projected starters from both sides of the ball involved, should be interesting as to what happens...
It was pretty low class guys and I apologize :? To be honest I don't wish this on anybody and feel for the team, coaches, parents and players who participated as they have to live with this....
Yeah not really offended by that Ralph. Is it true or did you just make that up seeing the stories on the Irish Jailbirds?
More good news for Coach Meyer and the Buckeyes: 2017 five-star receivers Tyjon Lindsey and Trevon Grimes commit to Ohio State this morning. That makes 18 commitments for the class of 2017. Lindsey is from Bishop Gorman HS Las Vegas and Grimes St Aquinas HS in Florida.
Ralph, no need to apologize. Like Corey and Terry, I thought it was quite funny and was not at all offended.
Buckeyes and Alabama are separating themselves from the rest of college football with regards to recruiting for 2017. Even Harbaugh at UM is looking up at Urban Meyer.
Thanks guys, as my sense of humor is "rather warped" I usually jot something down and then realize oops, I may have pushed it too far... To answer Terry's question these shirts are selling like hot cakes at the UM store from what I've been told. It's a long time until next February but Saban and Meyer are the gold standard in recruiting it seems and I can't see that really changing until they retire. Luckily there are a lot of great players out there and they can't all fit onto those two squads so we all have hope. And having great players play as a TEAM is the difficult part and playing with one heart and one mind is what makes a champion...
Terry and Ralph, I am extremely happy with our recruiting results, games are won and lost on the field not who ended up with the top recruits!
