Huskers are a thorn in the side of the Big 10, initially they wanted to play games against non-conf foes if the Big 10 wasn't going to play, or maybe join another conference. They couldn't do that though.

Now with Wisconsin canceled they reached out and found that U.T. Chattanooga was willing to come to Lincoln and play the Huskers..but the Big 10 said NO. Time to come back to the B12, AJ, where you'll get better treatment!!

With its previously scheduled game canceled due to positive coronavirus tests among the opposing team, Nebraska pivoted for a new Week 2 opponent in this college football season already marred by postponements.

They found a willing partner in the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. The matchup against the Mocs, a member of the FCS Southern Conference, required permission from the Big Ten, which has instituted strict coronavirus testing and containment protocols.

But on Thursday, the conference denied the Huskers' request to face the Mocs, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports' Dan Wolken. The person spoke under anonymity because they were not able to speak publicly on the matter.

I have a different name for the Big10, but out of respect for the excellent Skybox fans of that conference, I will keep my yap shut. :D

Well right now we are talking one game, every league has lost a game. So he's nuts.

Finebaum will say anything to create controversy. I can't believe ESPN employs him.

Finebaum should be talking about tiddly-winks... probably the only game he's ever played and could have insight into...

Travis Lawrence is being reported as COVID-19 positive. First truly big time player.

Clemson plays BC, and I think their backup QB is a former 5 star

Scott, most of the fans of B10 probably would not take offense. Seeing the cancellations that had taken place in the ACC and SEC, the failure of the conference to add an additional week to the schedule for a bye week so that cancelled games could get rescheduled is mind boggling. Their contradictory statements and lack of transparency during the entire Covid crisis is a FUBAR decision making process personified.

Wisconsin, not surprisingly, is now reporting 16 Covid cases. It seems like when you get that first outbreak it's a big one.

New cases seem to be exploding in the state and the football team apparently is reflective of that fact. France is going back to lockdown status after their daily new case count hit 750 cases per 1 million people. Wisconsin went over 1000 a few days ago.

Doesn't bode well for Midwest Football teams, including ND. I think Indiana is also become a hot spot.

Ohio experienced over 3000 cases yesterday for an all time daily high. I have my fingers and toes crossed for Covid testing tomorrow in Happy Valley prior to the game tomorrow night vs Penn State.

Just read where Clemson QB Lawrence has tested positive and will be held out of the game with Boston College tomorrow.

This is my fear. One of the top teams loses.a key player. Just another asterisk!

Hard to get very excited about any championships won this season. Covid has made it an asterisk season at best..... that's if we can finish it.
Otherwise it's still better than nothing.

Even conference championships are now tainted Kp.
I do believe that if Florida would have played LSU when they were supposed to then UF's offense would have have prevailed over a struggling LSU defense more than LSU's offense over a struggling UF defense.
By December 12th who the hell knows what's what.
UF has been off rusting on both sides of the ball for 3 weeks now... just this week coming back to practice.
*I wouldn't be surprised to see Missouri upset the out of sync Gators this week.*

I posted earlier that the Irish in the same situation had a struggle with Louisville, but that's just 2020.

But truthfully in the unlikely event that the Irish beat Clemson, even without Lawrence I will still be pumped

Sounds like the Clemson backup QB, whose name I can't pronounce, is quite a prospect. 6'4" 240 good runner very strong arm. I won't be surprised if he has a comming out party this weekend. Not to mention that he will still have all that talent around him, like Travis Etienne a great OL and NFL quality WR's
