Hey Ralph there is a guy in Neb at 402-910-7412 who would like to hear from you, he needs you to talk him off the ledge. :)

I guess beating up Alcorn St. and Tulane makes you unstoppable. 7 pts. in 58 min. and 15 in garbage time.

Ohio State did not ring too many bells last week and were sleep walking most of the first half. Today in like The Walking Dead! Five turnovers and we really looked confused and out of sync. I think we are spoiled from the end of last season?

Credit the Huskies with playing a very good game. They have some great players and were not intimidated by us in the least.

Not that it matters to most here but Tennessee is playing this week. All of the starters were pulled in the middle of the 2nd quarter and we still scored 21 more points. Valuable experience for next week if an injury or two happens.

I know... the competition was not up to par but we looked good.

Our backup QB, true freshman Quinten Dormady, looked pretty good but not as mobile as Dobbs. He is the heir apparent for next year.

Bring on the Gators next week. Drain the swamp!

Congratulations on Tennessee's win and it does matter as many of us fans are looking forward to seeing the Vols compete in the SEC again....

I know this too can easily change but I love seeing Lame Kitten calling an offense that has only scored 3 points to Ole Miss' 17 in the first half.

I have 14 points on Bama in the contest and it appears that Bama may score at the end of the half but I am enjoying this.

Holy Cow did you see that TD pass by Kelly, tipped ball that goes all they way. Ole Miss isn't playing all that well on offense but they are getting every possible break to go their way. Bama can't handle KO"s, and then that tipped ball TD. Not a good night for kp so far.

OMG, I switched to the Ole Miss/Alabama game when CAL recovered the Texas onside kick with about a 2 minutes to go...I figured it was over...some how Texas gets it back, the freshman QB runs 45yds for a TD and the kicker misses the freakin' extra point to tie and send it to OT most likely.

    Kickers!!!!!

Stanford mauls USC...I didn't see that coming that's for sure. When I say maul, they apparently just out physicaled them. Maybe Sark needs to go back to drinking.

Awful luck, after that outstanding comeback and the great play by our young QB to come up short.

The bigger question is what the hell was our OCoord...no former OCoord Shawn Watson thinking when he kept Jerrod Heard as the #2 QB and even talked about moving him to WR, he must like Slugs at QB to have favored Tyrone Swoopes over him. This kid is a young Michael Vick. Strong arm and lighting quick. I think Texas might have turned the corner tonight.

Wunderkid Josh Rosen has thrown 3 picks in the 1st half tonight. Another half to play with UCLA only down by 7 at the half.

I think it was Lou who said once that the best thing about freshmen is that they eventually become sophmores.

I really hate to say this but I told y'all, we need a stifling defense and a qb who does not turn the ball over. Well, we have neither of those things. The day started out so well with Auburn losing  but if you give up 43 points, you don't deserve to win. I was at my niece's wedding and reception so I didn't get to see any other games but Tennessee won, Florida won, A&M won, Notre Dame and Ohio State won so congratulations because believe me, A WIN IS A WIN. :(

Really great weekend of college football.

    1. Naturally I'm pumped after the underdog Irish got the win over Ga.Tech

    2. Alabama, really great game if you're not a Tide fan. But in truth Alabama literally gave that game to Ole Miss and what they didn't give Lady Luck did. That one TD pass was pure luck, Kelly threw it up for grabs going down, it bounced off of a couple of players and goes for a TD. Tide fumbles kickoffs, Ole Miss takes advantage. But credit to Ole Miss for taking advantage. That dude Robt Kendechie or however you spell his name is amazing, they kept saying he weighs 300lbs, but 300lbers usually look fat, this dude looks svelt.

3 Ohio State. Got a wake up call, even Urban Meyer acknowledged that he's got to pick a QB and stick with him. Give that guy the 70-80% of the reps that 1st team QB's get and let the other guy be the backup. Even Matt Leinart said (can't believe I'm quoting him) that when you rotate QB's it throws the offense off and takes some time for them to adjust to the different styles.

    4. Scott's favorite team Texas Tech....went into SEC Country and laid one down on the piggies. I loved the way that Kingsbury went off on Piggie Brett after the game. Great win for a B12 team.

    5. B12 in general had a good weekend. TCU a solid but not spectacular win over SMU, Ok.State a big win over a patsie, OU has really found a QB in Baker Mayfield who had to walk on at Texas Tech and then transferred to OU. KState wins as well.

    6. The Longhorns! Wow Jerrod Heard was just spectacular yesterday. Too bad the kicker failed at the wrong time, they'd have beaten CAL in OT. This kid is the definition of mecurial, waterbug, etc. Plus he really looks like he can throw the ball, not a great thrower but you'd better defend it. Most important thing is that he has energy and enthusiasm that is sparking the rest of the team. This Longhorn squad is going to be a load the rest of the year. We've still got some losses out there but we are no where near the team that limped out of South Bend.

    7. Aggies...yeah they won, good for them.

    8. USC...I guess Stanford isn't dead yet. They just beat them in every phase of the game, they played like Harbaugh was still there and I expected Sark to go to Shaw after that game and say " What's your deal". :) Ah nothing like a USC beating to warm the cockles of my heart! :)

    9. UCLA/BYU. Was BYU better than given credit for or was UCLA not as good as advertised. UCLA gets the win though and it was very close.

    10. Michigan..I have to tell you if I'm a UM fan I'm pretty darn excited. I could absolutely see this team not losing another game till they get Ohio State in the Big House. Harbaugh has already transformed this program.

    11. Miami/Neb...a barn burner. Miami undefeated. They are going to be ranked this week. They have a shot at getting to the ACC championship game. Nobody in the ACC looks like they are ready to dominate. League is pretty good but pretty even as well.

12 Pac12...only Pac team to lose was USC. Rest of Pac12 was undefeated.

    13. Tenn...things are really looking good in Knoxville, they really should win their first SEC East crown this year. So.Car, UF, Missouri, all look beatable by Tenn. SEC West looking interensting....preseason A&M was picked last or next to last but maybe not, LSU was acknowledged to have a lot of talent everywhere but QB. Maybe they don't need a QB. Auburn was a Nat'l Title contender, Jacksonville State showed they weren't. Somebody said Will Muschamp was supposed to bring the Gator defense and instead he brought his Gator Offense. :) I think in the end Alabama won't make the mistakes they made vs Ole Miss and Ole Miss an excellent squad will pay for all the good luck they had in Tuscaloosa with a reverse performance some where else.
    Heck of a weekend.

    14. MSU did a nice job defending the option of Air Force. They have an Oct. 17 appointment in the Big House with those "excited" Michigan fans.

Oh Terry, it's good to know you care!

As I've said before, I generally support the SEC, but Fat Brett along with the Muschumps on the Plains were so overrated, I couldn't stomach it.
Fat Brett got his, and I hope to watch the Aggies continue rubbing his nose in his own words this coming weekend
Um... that was TOP 5 TCU(?)... taking on 1-11 SMU... and it was a game all the way to the 4th? Good win? I suppose any win is good, but that does NOT bode well for TCU.

This is going to be a wild season. Even the "invincible" Buckeyes are vulnerable. It's wide open, and that's a great thing.

    :D

Oh... and we have a new phrase around Aggieland:
(There has been one of these plays by #5 in all three games so far)

"You might wanna block that guy!"

Well I won't argue that he was a great HS player I wish he'd been interested in Notre Dame we could sure use him. But even if he was only a 3 star and nobody blocks him shouldn't he be able to make that play? Just say'n it's not like he fought off a double team or anything.

I think I read that Air Force played without their starting QB in that game vs Mich State. Even so I'd have expected a Dantonio coached team to have been able to handle that. BTW would somebody please give Dantonio something for that constipation that he surely must be suffering with inorder to maintain that look he has.

So Air Force is like ND and BYU playing without there starting QB. Who knows some day a team might win the NC with a backup QB.
