I can sympathize with Scott and Bill, both teams have had a great season. Unfortunately the CFP is not bullet proof, and someone is always going to be outside and looking in at seasons end.

Pitt has opted out of bowl games.

People sometimes forget what this season has been like for players. They have been on campus since early summer and they have been restricted in their activities. None of them have been home they get tested all the time.

It's just not been a normal experience for them.

I don't blame them for not wanting to extend their isolated existence to play in exhibition game where none of the fun activities can be done for fear of the virus.

Utah State players have opted out of the Colorado State over comments made questioning the ethnicity and religion of the interim coach, Frank Maile, who is Polynesian and Mormon.
Stadium reported Friday that during a videoconference with Cockett and Aggies athletics director John Hartwell, Utah State's football leadership council lobbied for Maile to replace former coach Gary Andersen, who was fired after the team's 0-3 start.

During that videoconference on Tuesday, according to the Stadium report, Cockett purportedly voiced concerns about Maile's cultural and religious background. Maile, a Utah State graduate, is Polynesian and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also the Aggies' co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.

To be clear guys, I'm not upset with anything the schools have done.
OSU is great, and it's not their fault they are stuck where they are.
I'm just really annoyed that the BIG is getting away with screwing over everyone (their own teams included) and seemingly getting away with it.
I have no dog in the fight... I'm not lobbying for the Aggies to get in.
I love that we're in the conversation, but we're not a conference champion, and we do have a loss.
I'd say Clemson and ND's thoughts on not playing are valid in the current situation. Why screw up their current position when they've already won more games than any BIG team has a shot at?

Five-star prospect Emeka Egbuka, the nation's No. 1-ranked receiver and No. 9 overall player in the 2021 class, has committed to Ohio State.

I saw that Don, Buckeyes have a tremendous amount of talent right there with Alabama.

Minn should feel at home for the 1100 game. Been snowing all night.

I am in total agreement with this.

We are still in the conversation because we are the East Champs and will play Alabama next week. If we beat LSU today then winning that game would put us in the NC series. If we lose as I expect then I see the four teams as

    Alabama
    Ohio State
    Winner Clemson/Notre Dame
This spot would likely go to Notre Dame if they lost, otherwise I see it going to Texas A&M

However if the Gators win I would see it this way

    Florida
    Ohio State
    Winner Clemson/Notre Dame
    Alabama

The above in no particular order.

Bill, isn't Ohio State playing Northwestern in the Big 10 Championship game next week? What happens if that game has to be canceled? Not that it is likely, but what happens if OSU loses in that game? The Big 10 leadership would have to burn the midnight oil then, wouldn't they?

Hell, that was the big question I wasn't going to ask so as not to jinx the thing. I'm talking about the virus cancellation...not losing. If we lose the game the B1G is out of the playoffs.

They could play it later but probably that would be too late for the BCS selection committee.

Let's not forget that ANY game could possibly be cancelled/postponed...even a playoff game.

Poor BDR. ASU 70-7 over AZ. Rich Rod took Arizona to 5 bowl games in 6 years before he was fired after his administrative assistant dropped a multi-million dollar law suit on the school for sexual harassment. Sumlin took over and has crashed and burned the program.

I wonder if the Big10 is staying up late figuring out all of the angles?

Tide having their way the Hogs. Looking more like you can just hand the Tide the Title, they are just so talented on both sides of the ball. It will really be interesting to see if the Gators can hang with them.

That was really a close game between the Tide and the Razorbacks. I imagine kp was on the edge of his chair.:)

Don, as a matter of fact, I was hoping for a game like this. My granddaughters were both in a Christmas parade today so I had to record the game. ;)

Unlike Don who was able to proudly announce a new verbal of a highly ranked player, I get to announce that one of our top players in this class was arrested recently for car jacking, :(

Wisconsin and Iowa left their offenses at home, while UNC is unleashing the dogs on Miami.
