They aren't going to win because they have no Qb, and an impotent offense but DaveAranda's defense has played their balls off tonight.

With all.of.the players that.are.opting out, I think guys like Devonte Smith and Najee Harris, both of who came back for their senior season deserve recognition. I admire these guys.

Looks like the Tide has let up on LSU.

OU finished off Baylor 27 - 14. On the Fox show Reggie Bush kept saying that OU was playing at Playoff level and if they expanded to 8 games OU would be in and a threat, watching them tonight I don't think they will beat Iowa State.

Dangit kp! I'm writing a letter to Saban! When you have a chance for smooth payback you TAKE IT!
I wanted it to be so bad no recruit would think L$U's cash offers are worth it!

Yeah, Saban called called off the dogs. It may cost Jones though.

The last time the Rice Owls beat a top 25 team was in 1997 when they beat BYU.

Shane Beamer, son of HOF coach Frank Beamer, is the next coach at South Carolina. Beamer has never been a play caller on offense or defense, was an Offensive Asst to Lincoln Riley at OU the last 3 years.

Seems like a bit of a stretch for them. His time at So. Carolina previously where he was known for his recruiting appears to be the factor.

    Good luck to him.

Texas has paused football activities after 3 players and 2 staffers tested positive today. This puts the KU game in doubt.

Not looking good for the Urban Meyer to Texas. Not sure where Texas goes, this could mean that Tom Herman will return. With the National Signing Date coming Dec 19th you would think that if Herman is returning or he's being let go it would need to happen before that, it's a problem if you fire the HC after that and it's a problem for kids to sign when they don't know if Herman will be back.

The buyout is not a problem if Urban is coming, it's a problem if they are going to do the National Search.

Congrats, AJ. Purdue really looked flat but I think Nebraska was mostly to blame for us looking that way. Horvath reminds us Boilermakers of Mike Alstott.

An overlooked game...USC beat Wash State 38-13 to move to 4-0. Last game of the season next week is vs UCLA. Then the Pac 12 Championship. Doubt if even at 6-0 USC will get any consideration.

Reported that Dan Mullen is a candidate for the Texas job should they move on from Tom Herman.

Dan Mullen, HC Florida: Interest seems to be genuine on both sides but it will be incumbent on Chris Del Conte to ensure Mullen, and his representative Jimmy Sexton, aren’t just fishing for a raise. Mullen comes with a low buyout ($2 million) at a time when UT already has money earmarked for a big hire. UT also has its pitch finely tuned after showing significant interest in Mullen’s mentor for the last six weeks. This comes with obvious risks and nobody will truly know what Mullen’s level of interest is in UT except for Mullen and his agent. Scary stuff, but it’s worth investigating.

Bottom line: Mullen is a real candidate, but we’re not saying he’s a real possibility at this point.

That would be an interesting move.
Is Mullen saying he knows he'll never be good enough to win the SEC by moving?
No doubt the path through the XII is MUCH easier...
I wonder how the Florida folks will take this if it moves past speculation?
