The Tide are unanimous #1 in this week's AP Poll, no other real changes. I expect that the committee will be pretty much the same, even though A&M didn't crush LSU and the Gators cruised over Kentucky I'd bet the head to head will still keep them ahead of them.
Agree on the Vandy job Terry. You only take that if you are desperate to get a HC job. Not worried about the Aggie's poll position. We have to learn to throw and catch again... before any of that matters. From what I saw, there were two guys on offense who had any interest in playing that game: Isaiah Spiller, and Anias Smith. Everyone else just wanted to get their jacket back on and go inside. Thank goodness the defense came to play.
Talk on the Texas boards is that KU is ready to be done with the season and doesn't want to play the DEC 12th game with the Longhorns.
Another player has quit on his team. Terrace Marshall, LSU WR, has opted out of the remaining games to prepare for the NFL. As I said earlier it's a troubling trend.
What's the over/under on how long Meyer would be in the job before he'd have to quit again due to health concerns??
He always lasts long enough to win a Nat'l Championship!!! Rumors are wildly expecting the Big Cigars to make sure he is the highest paid coach in football, ever.
Michigan has shutdown all activity for the football program. It's going to be interesting to see how things sort out in the Big 10. If Ohio State can't play MSU this weekend and Michigan ends up not being able to play the next 2 weeks, that leaves Ohio State stuck at 4-0. I posted earlier that TCU played missing almost 40 players, I have to imagine that Ohio State would be willing to do the same to be able to get the game with Mich State played this coming Saturday.
Former Ohio State commit, D'Wan Mathis, who flipped to UGA when Justin Fields transferred and who started the 1st game of the season at Arkansas, has entered the Portal. He's fallen to 4th on the depth chart and was unlikely to get a shot at the job next year.
IU QB Michael Penix Jr. is out for the season with a knee injury. Next man up: Jack Tuttle, a transfer from Utah who was born in Indianapolis and went to high school in California. His father was a walk-on kicker for IU in the 80s and his mother went to Indiana State. The following is a very impressive bio which my son sent to me. I don't know the source:
Terrible news about Penix and I hope he makes a full recovery. I thought that young man was the best player on the field when the Hoosiers played OSU and Michigan.
