Didn't watch Nebraska and Ohio State. But it looks like the Huskers gave them all they could handle. Scott Frost seems to have gotten the team headed in right direction. Michigan handling Penn State easily it seems. I don't understand how Missouri is handling the Gators in the swamp so easily. Georgia exposes Kentucky Big win for Purdue, FG with seconds left seals the deal.
Dominant defensive performance by Michigan. Pretty sure 3 of our defensive lineman will be playing on Sunday. Patterson is now confortable running the offense and is playing well. First time in years I feel we have a good shot of visiting Columbus and coming out with a W.
That was a great win for Michigan. ND is playing lethargic against Northwestern. LSU proving to be a speed bump, at least for now, for Alabama.
Either Alabama has been hiding this defense, or LSU's offense is pretty bad. That was an ugly win for ND, but I'll take it. I can't stand this 'turn it on, turn it off' approach to our offense.
LSU offense is bad, Alabama defense might not be as good as the the last couple of years, but they are still deep and talented and one of the best in the top 10.
Don, When Urban is gone, I think we will have solid opportunities to win, but as long as he is coaching the Buckeyes, I will not have an excess of optimism.
I know AJ will not approve of this message... But the 2018 Tide is better than the 95 Huskers.
hahaha Terry just dropping the rat poison all over the place If Michigan hops ND, I'd be pretty mad. I mean, why play the games at all? Michigan is a better team now, but so are we. In fact, I'd take that man up defense against our passing game with Book all day. Either way, it's onto the next week. I notice the Texas Tech fans left the game when OU went up by 8. I was immediately struck by Scott's constant reminders of Tortilla Tech and their students. I was wondering if they are mathematically challenged.
Tech falls short. Oregon State making a come back against USC. Wazzu involved in a slug fest against a very good Cal team.
COUGS WIN!! It was not pretty (pick 6 fumbled at the 2 into the endzone, almost recovered but then refumbled it out the back for a touchback, missed FG, missed XP, 254 penalty first downs gifted to Cal on an otherwise-stopped 3rd down, yeesh). But, it was #PAC12 AFTER DARK and Wazzu was the favorite, so freaky lucky to survive. 12th straight win at home. Control their destiny to the Rose Bowl. Only team in the P12 with less than 3 losses, at 8-1. 9 ranked teams go down, 5 of which were upsets to UR teams (ranking is CFP/AP): - #3/#4 LSU lost to (#1/#1 9-0 Bama) for their 2nd loss - #9/#11 UK lost to (#6/#6 8-1 UGa) for their 2nd loss - #11/#13 UF lost to (UR/UR 5-4 Mizzou) for their 3rd loss - #14/#14 PSU lost to (#5/#5 8-1 UM) for their 3rd loss - #15/#16 UU lost to (UR/UR 5-4 ASU) for their 3rd loss - #16/#19 Iowa lost to (UR/UR 5-4 PU) for their 3rd loss - #17/#15 tu lost to (#13/#12 7-1 WV) for their 3rd loss - #20/#25 A&M lost to (UR/UR 6-3 AU) for their 4th loss - #25/#23 UVA lost to (UR/UR 5-4 Pitt) for their 3rd loss Four unbeatens still remain: UCF (8-0) Clemson (9-0) ND (9-0) Bama (9-0) Eleven 1-loss teams remain: Cincy (8-1) OU (8-1) WV (7-1) UM (8-1) OSU (8-1) UAB (8-1) Buffalo (8-1) Utah St. (7-1) Fresno St. (8-1) WSU (8-1) UGA (8-1) Teams that still have a path to represent their division in their CG: ACC: Clemson/BC winner vs. Pitt/UVA/VT/GT/Duke/Miami B12: OU, WV, tu, ISU, TT, BU, OkSU can all still get to the “B12CG†(there may be a convoluted path for TCU as well depending on how I interpret the tiebreakers) B10: UM/OSU/MSU/MD vs. NW/Wisc/PU/Ill/Iowa P12: WSU/uw/Stan/UO vs. UU/USC/ASU/UA/CU/UCLA SEC: UGA vs. Bama And yes, UCLA, currently 2-7, can win the P12S even though they have been eliminated from bowl contention. There are three 4-3 teams with two games remaining, and UCLA would have tiebreaker over UA, ASU, and USC in the P12S if they win out to go 5-4 in the conference. UCLA and UA would be 5-4, UU and USC would be 4-5, ASU and CU would be 3-6. UCLA champs at 5-7 overall.
Ohio State was able to beat Nebraska, but we looked very pathetic at times and Urban did not look much better either on the sidelines. I am afraid we will lose to MSU next week in East Lansing and Michigan will have their way with us here at home on the 24th. Not a good way to wrap up the season at home!
An ugly ND win? The Irish won all the statistical categories and beat a team on the road riding a four game win streak. A team that just bounced Wisconsin the week before. I think we're getting spoiled. Michigan is playing very well and deserves to be #4. But no higher. They have the loss, tot he team in front of them. And we beat them when our offense was basically one dimensional with Wimbush. Bama stands alone. I'm the guy who called the Red Sox in five and Alabama to win by at least 25. The next tip is gonna cost you! 8)
Only Clemson seems to be a team with a sliver of hope vs. Bama this year although if Michigan keeps on turning up their level of play like they have maybe they also could make a game of it for three quarters anyway. Bama 42-14 over Georgia Bama 38-10 over ND Bama 31-17 over Michigan Bama 42-28 over Clemson
