Looks like the Aggies are going to be moving on, they are up 6-0 and not showing any signs of letting up Irish bat's are silent.
Ohio State picks up three top wide receivers in three days. 2 five stars and one four star. Go Bucks!
Biggest recruit, maybe since Earl Campbell. Vince Young would be a comparable but he was not as polished coming out of HS, more of an amazing athlete playing QB. Chris Simms at the time would also be close. From what I have read the Mannings weren't concerned about playing for National Championships, but his development into a NFL QB. Felt that Sarkisian was the best choice. They also just liked Texas and Austin. They weren't worried about redshrting behind Quinn Ewers or Hudson Card. This will help Texas with WR recruiting, they don't have a group anything like what Alabama and Ohio State have had recently.
No idea nor care whether true or not, I just want to figure out how to get me some NIL!! From what I see on YouTube, it starts with being offensive and/or idiotic, so I'm hoping I'm close!!
This has ramped up fast. New Miami QB commit Jaden Rashada reportedly set to make $9.5 million in NIL deal - Saturday Road
I just wonder how this will all turn out when some of these kids flop, last year Spencer Rattler got a lot of NIL money and ended up losing his job at OU and being replaced by a freshman. He ultimately transferred to South Carolina. At what point will boosters get tired of paying out big money to players who don't produce.
I think everyone wonders about that, since agents and lawyers are involved and at least for highly ranked players that those players have leverage. I would be shocked if guaranteed money wasn't a part of the equation, with some equivalent of a buyout if the player leaves.
Legally, I would assume any language could be put into a contract. However, from an NCAA standpoint (HAHAHAHAHAHA) how could you call that NIL at that point?
Well, the kid is being paid to represent a brand... so withdrawing his compensation when he no longer represents that brand seems logical.
Still representing the brand, just not in the intended market, which could be argued EXPANDS the value of NIL!
A lot we don't know though about these NIL deals. As I said the highly rated kid has some leverage and I wonder what guarantee's he has and how much of the money is up front, if any.
