The only thing I have heard for sure is that Notre Dame will be penalized 10% for each year they remain independent, or until they join the BIG TEN Conference.;)

Funny, but I have always thought that if the Irish ever do join a conference that the Big 10 was the most logical place.

Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and a couple of others are all in a very good place. I am hoping our new coach is all that I am optimistic that he is and can get us back in competition with the top group.

Others that I see in a very good place are Texas A&M, Clemson, Oklahoma and of course Notre Dame. Probably left out a couple but I also expect some changes in the next few years with NIL and coaching changes.

Yeah, I agree on the changes, at least at the very top. It is a feat to stay on top as long as Alabama has but that will change. The top dogs can only stay up there for a certain amount of time. I am certainly enjoying the ride while I can.

Saban has had a helluva run, I don't see Bama missing a beat so long as he wants to continue coaching. The real challenge will be to replace him without a drop-off....how do you replace the best? Tough to do, but I'm sure you'll have your choice of top candidates......is that Dabo's job?

Or they could just delay the payout to the new teams. It's been done before. But that ain't gonna fly if they want to get Notre Dame to jump in the pool. ;)

I'm not so sure Alabama will go with legacy coach or not. Saban broke that mold, but Sweeney would be considered if he rebounds from last season and lets see how Napier does at Florida, and as has been mentioned before, Saban has a ton of former assistants around that would be great candidates.

I can't really see him leaving Clemson either. I guess if he would leave, Alabama would be the one place he would go to. He grew up about 40 miles from Tuscaloosa.

Ha! I don't think so Don. I think you may have to be obsessive about details and that is definitely not me. Oh and I'm the same age as Saban. I've already retired twice so I've probably reached my quota!

I gotta nominate one of our kids, starting LB Steele Chambers. Great name for a linebacker, honorable mention at least.

It's hard to fix or coach stupid.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said on Friday that wide receiver Agiye Hall, who transferred from Alabama this spring, has been indefinitely suspended after being arrested on Thursday night by UT police on a criminal mischief charge.

Hall faces a Class B misdemeanor charge for damages totaling between $100 to $750. The UTPD report says that he damaged a parking boot valued at $600 that had been placed on his Dodge Challenger.

"We're aware of the situation involving Agiye Hall, have talked with his family, and have suspended him indefinitely from all team activities for conduct that is detrimental to our program," Sarkisian said in a statement.

He's now claiming that he has been targeted by the cops ever since he arrived.

Myles Brennan signed NIL deals with Raising Canes, Smoothie King, GameCoin, Smalls Sliders and Hollingsford Richards Ford.

He didn’t play a single game since signing, but because NIL deals can’t be based on performance, he keeps all the money
