This is a clip from an article on a kid the Irish are recruiting as a P/K. Suggested that the NCAA is going expand the number of scholarships and eliminate walk-ons. I'm thinking, great all those walk-ons will get paid, but how does that impact Title IX? I am thinking the Portal will be even more Chaotic. Sure it will be nice to not have to turn away a player(s) because you have hit the 85 player limit But I am skeptical about it. The Notre Dame coaches explained what coming to South Bend as a preferred walk-on would entail and why there’s a good chance that could change. “They also explained the new rules that are going to be coming up in the next year,” said Schmidt. “They said that there probably won't be any more walk-ons and there's going to be a high chance for scholarship. “(The NCAA) is thinking about changing the roster. It could change to anything, but people are predicting that it'll go to about 100 or maybe even 110 scholarships and then they might just not allow walk-ons, so everyone's on the scholarship.”
Why do I think this makes something that has likely been going on legitimate. The NCAA Division I Council has approved a rule change allowing analysts to coach during practice and games, a move that's effective immediately and offers large-budget programs like Michigan another edge in the ever-changing college football landscape. "The rule had initially been expected to pass last year. As of Tuesday evening, it has now officially been approved."
Very true... if it was, Quinn Ewers likely to be our starter this year and last. In truth, I just want one this year who won't get his feelings hurt and take his ball and go home and understands he doesn't have to be CJ or even star. Got plenty of other guys capable of doing that he needs to get the ball to....future looks bright, this year prob average at best, imo

Well Texas and Oklahoma are now officially SEC members. The first thing all schools in the SEC have to do now is to alter the number of flag poles inthe Stadiums. SEC Teams only have to add 2 more, while Texas and OU have to add 4 more each. Might sound simple but I bet it's not.
