I wouldn't be surprised to see the current #3 - Lincoln Kienholz - to hit the portal. The job will be between Brown and Howard and there are two highly thought of FR behind them with another on the way next year. Too many to keep everybody happy.

Agree re: OL....I expect us to try and find some OL depth in the portal. Our OL isn't where it needs to be

IMHO 2 really good changes for 2024. 1. Helmet communication is approved for FBS play, although Kirby Smart said he thought many coaches would opt to still go with hand signals, why I don't know. But to me it is a good rule and it's certainly worked well in the NFL for years. 2. Tablets are now allowed on the sidelines and in the coaching booth. Another thing that has worked well in the NFL.

Hell, let’s just give up and adopt all off the NFL rules. We can separate from the schools altogether and Alabama will finally get a professional franchise.

I sure wish that was just a joke kp.
I totally expect it to get pretty close to that in the not too distant future.
Paid employees of the school, education will be optional.

Hey, can we get back those football victories stolen from us by the NCAA?

No great surprise, but Marvin Harrison Jr goes 4th in the NFL Draft behind three QBs. Harrison is the highest rated WR in Buckeye history.

And Arizona State is asking to be moved ahead of them in the queue... :D

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to embed a url because I don't meet the minimum requirements to do so, but ASU's recently-announced football recruiting violations during COVID have tied them with SMU.

Of course since the Portal is open now we see kids going to the Portal. I kinda understand the kids who are seeking playing time but I'm seeing more and more kids who were going to be starters and were in the plans for their current team hitting the portal I assume looking for more NIL money. I'm also seeing kids who enrolled early in January so they could go through spring drills and get a leg up on the fall also going into the portal without ever suiting up for a game.

I'm sure lots of people will say that coaches can move anytime they want so why not kids, and kids had been screwed out of money for so long, etc. I am in the group who feels that all this has changed the sport in not a good way. Sure my favorite teams are taking advantage of the new rules, but I still don't like it.

Sorry for being absent for so long.

Would like to blame it on my age, 87 come May 9, but that would not be the whole story.

Hope to do better in the future.

I agree with most of you about the NIL. It is not being used the way it was intended and has become just pay for play.

While I think the NCAA was far to harsh in the past but seems to me this is out of hand.

Still follow my Gators but we have not done well in this current environment and if we don't show marked improvement this coming season, against what is perhaps the toughest schedule we have ever had, I am afraid we will be in the market for a new coach again.

    The irony of it all.

The Texans are reuniting CJ Stroud with his TE Cade Stover.

Cade Stover aka Farmer Gronk! Love the kid, hope he can stay healthy, earn a spot and contribute. Not the biggest, strongest, or fastest, but sneaky athletic with great hands, tough as they come and a world class grinder. I know CJ is glad to have him
