I see that Saban had a Saban moment in his Press Conference when a reporter asked a stupid question, then walked off. That reporter must be new. Contrasts between the best coach in College Football who has a ton of Nat'l Titles and whose teams are always in the hunt even when they don't win to Brian Kelly who is the opposite. Kelly had a moment with a reporter and the media has taken off on him, castigating him for his exchange, and Saban who the media didn't ignore it but we won't see a week of comments on Saban. Winning a lot makes a lot of difference.
Oh! I hadn't seen Terry's post when I made mine in another subject. Yeah, that's actually Saban's second outburst this week and he's applauded for it. At the same time, he's a lot funnier than Kelly is because he doesn't pull any punches.
A lot of the time it seems Saban is waiting for an opportunity to send a message to the team and some poor reporter just happens to provide that opportunity. Sometimes the rant has nothing to do with the question but Saban wants to make a point to the team so he seizes on it and takes off. Sometimes he's just a sarcastic SOB. 8)
That is of course how Gator fans always felt about Spurrier. And he truly was and remains one of our own.
Well I was going to complain about Alabama's defense not being able to stop Colorado State's offense but then I saw the Stanford, UCLA, LSU and Nebraska scores. A win is a win. Alabama has a lot of problems on defense. No pass rush, and an inconsistent run defense. We will probably lose more that one game this year.
That's right KP.....nothing to see here....keep moving.... Earlier I made comment in a post that we were predicted to have a 6-6 season....that would make us bowl eligible. Right now there's still 5 losses on our schedule, so that math don't add up. Mr. Riley better listen to that Alice Cooper song over and over and over.
Just more evidence of how worthless and stupid preseason/early rankings are. You need at least 4 games in the tank to have any idea of where a team stands...
It is Kyle, and I'm thankful for it. But you still see that number beside team's name at the first games, and it's just silly.
The new coach at Purdue is earning his salary. Did not expect them to travel to Missouri and blow out the Tigers. Michigan's young defense will be tested next week in Lafayette.
SDSU has now beaten 3 straight P12 teams and they are unbeaten this year. They have a pretty stout defense and a solid run game. You can beat Stanford with that.
Don't get me wrong, I thought Stanford would beat them too. They just aren't as bad as people think they are. In fact, they are very good defensively.
