Yes he has had problems, especially early in the season. I think maybe he is feeling like he is the reason we lost. I hope he reconsiders but I don’t know if he wants to or not. It was almost like he got the yips.

He looks exactly like his dad but, as Terry said, less personality.

Talk about grass is greener....he's rumored to be visiting Columbus this weekend, it seems we're looking for talent/depth at Center. Our starting center who had started every game before the Cotton Bowl, didn't play in the bowl game and our OL looked the part of the Keystone Cops. He's a highly regarded RS-FR who struggled early and was inconsistent but came along toward the end. I thought he had a decent future. Scuttlebutt is that during bowl practice he developed a bad case of the yips on his shotgun snaps which, given we run almost all of our plays from the gun, can be a concern for a head coach. KP maybe we should just swap em out and not mess with any of that portal stuff

Yeah I’m sure McLaughlin has taken a lot of flack from some of our dumber forums. He has been a reliable player and an asset to our team . I wish he would stay. Supposedly, all of the transferees and draftees talked with Saban in the last couple of days so I’m not sure how those conversations went.

I see that Mclaughlin graduated with honors, a 4.0 GPA in Finance. Kid is no dummy, bet he gets a great deal wherever he lands

Our OL was adequate at best all year...but I wondered if the problems at the Missouri game were greatly magnified by Klienholz's inexperience. Recognizing where the blitz is coming from and communicating with your linemen and running back on whom to block and with your receivers all knowing what you see coming and whose the hot receiver...etc. It just looked like a Chinese fire drill.

I agree Stu that and compounded by a new center making calling the front and assignments for the OL and newbie at RG couldn't have helped either. In any event your Chinese fire drill description is spot on....

We knew going in to the season that the OL was a question mark. They seemed to improve steadily toward the end of the year but the performance in the Cotton Bowl was abysmal

I saw that A&M upped the NIL of the Purdue DE who portaled to them from the 200 K that the Boilermakers were paying him to 600k,a house, and a car.

Although I am not sure why he wants a house in College Station for the year he's going to be there

Oh and I heard Rick Neuhiesel say that there is a court case going on that he thinks the NCAA is going to lose that will allow athletes to transfer unlimited amount of times and be immediately eligible to play.

I guess it’s time to start signing contracts with individual players and have buyouts just like the coaches, and let the players go that are not producing go whenever it’s convenient.

Bad weather in Houston right now. Good thing it's in a domed stadium. But the weather is going to make it a problem for fans getting to and from the game.

Losing #7 would be a big loss for W. Not a lot of depth at RB.
