Bobda have no fear we have plenty of armadillos to munch on down here, dumpsters are not an option we can feed ya......Then again they may carry leprosy but what's life without a little risk...Leprosy and my 401K both make my skin crawl at the moment...
We have a resident armadillo right outside our back door who lives under a concrete storm drain cover. I hope he's not a leper!
Our first major injury for the Buckeyes happened yesterday afternoon. Noah Brown, sophomore wide receiver fractured his leg in practice and will miss the entire season! He was being counted on to have a breakout season, but it will not happen this year.
Sorry to hear that Don, everyday you read about some college or Pro player being lost for the season. I hope he recovers and will be back next season fully healthy.
Spoke with a former UF player on the 2009 Gator football team the other day, whose Dad is currently coaching Marshall.. He mentioned that he speaks to one of the Ohio St. coaches on a weekly basis and the coach mentioned that as great as the 2009 Gator team was in his opinion only 3 or 4 players from that team would start for Ohio St this season, they are that talented and that deep... Wow....
Ohio State should be good enough to repeat.... and I fully expect them to do it. On 2009 Florida..... that team was missing Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy from the 2008 squad which I feel was a better team that 2009 Florida but most importantly Tim Tebow played a great majority of the season with post concussion issues suffered vs. Kentucky. In any event UF still was playing Alabama in SEC Title game for the right to play in the BCS Title game. The current Buckeyes wouldn't be bothered by Qb concussion issues as their Qb depth is crazy good.
College Football Uniform Review. Some changes and some won't change. Michigan is doing away with Alternate Uniforms and no more throw backs also UM will wear all white on the road. As always I like some of them and some of them you go..really? http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13513118/2015-uni-watch-college-football-preview
More on the Buckeyes repeating: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/writer/dennis-dodd/25281032/inside-college-football-why-ohio-state-will-struggle-to-end-season-no-1 Meyer couldn't do it in 2009....can he do it this time?
It takes a little luck along the way, and of course getting hot at the right time. TCU was very close to being undefeated last year and truthfully I think they got screwed by the refs in their loss to Baylor. A questionable pass interference call they got that allowed Baylor to kick the FG and win, while only a few plays earlier an almost identical call did not get made on Baylor forcing TCU to punt. This goes way back but if the Ark QB doesn't fumble running out the clock in the 98 Tenn game the Vols don't make it to the Nat'l Championship game. Injuries, bad calls, freak plays, etc all have to go your way. I can't remember, ever, though a team losing it's top 2 QB's and wining the NC with the 3rd string guy like OSU did last year. Alabama was consensus #1 and odds on favorite to win the NC in 2013, but the kick-six play ended that. I think they'd have beaten FSU.
12 most relevant teams in College Football. I'm not really sure what it takes to get on this list except being an established football power I guess. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/the-12-most-relevant-teams-in-college-football-today/ar-BBm8cls?li=BBgzzfc#page=1
Dave, With the talent available this year, Coach Meyer stands an excellent chance. Of course injuries, etc might change the course of events.
Re: Twelve most relevant teams. Thank you,Captain Obvious. (not you, Terry. The guy who wrote the article.)
I think this graphic tells you why Ohio State and Alabama are the two teams you think of when you say Loaded.
That graphic gives me hope... UF is a no show show in the relevancy dept. but it looks like there may be some talent available to McElwain to turn things around if that is what the data is indicating..?
FullBack coming back this year?....it'll be fun to watch this kid... http://www.omaha.com/huskers/husker-fullback-andy-janovich-s-bruising-style-could-lead-to/article_b1bc88c0-8fb6-5836-9d5c-7ad973134b91.html
Illinois just fired Tim Beckman their HC, reason is given as mistreating football players. Pretty shocking.
