I was surprised to learn this morning that 4 Star freshman QB Torrence Gibson, will be playing wide receiver this fall. He is strong and a tremendous athlete. The talent just keeps coming on for the Buckeyes.

Yesterday (Sunday) was media day for the Buckeyes! No practice just a fun day for players, and family, The four suspended players for the Virginia Tech game were not made available to the media.

Urban Meyer says "we have created a monster with our recent success and now we have to feed the monster"! I like that kind of thinking.

NLRB says Northwestern Players can not form a union! Thank You! It's the stupidest idea ever to have a college players union.

I never thought the Union idea would fly and I am in agreement with the decision.

Ohio State suffered its first major injury of fall camp Monday when freshman running back Mike Weber suffered a torn meniscus. He is scheduled for surgery Tuesday morning.

Weber will miss the first three to four weeks of the season if all goes well.

He was really in the mix from the get go and will be missed for sure.

Looked like they were just trying to be themselves. Sometimes you get a courage award and sometimes they rip you.

Yeah I don't think this was a good thing to say...sure say how tough the loss was and all, that you thought maybe you should have won and stuff like that..but
Maybe somebody should ask him why he didn't put 60 on Wisconsin who had 59 put on them by Ohio State in the B10 Championship...their coach was gone by the bowl game with Aurburn and Barry Alvarez had to come out of the booth to coach them and they mauled Auburn with 400+ yds rushing. Talk about that coach! :)

Ohio State QB's are on record that they don't want Urban Meyer to rotate them during the season. Whoever wins the job is the starter the other guy will accept being the backup and playing the backup role.

I do wonder what Urban will do, it would seem like with what Jones did in his 3 starts that he has to be the starter, the OSU offense was just deadly with him at the helm. How is that guy not the starter?

We'll see. I wonder when Urban will name his starter? on game day?

    Terry,

Urban has said whoever trots on the field first at Blacksburg will be the starter for game 1

This is a most unusual situation and one can argue either way as to whom should be the starter. Jones took everyone by surprise, but keep in mind Devin Smith is not playing this fall to make those great leaping catches either?

Personally I think J.T. is the most experienced and he would be my choice.

    I agree, they should have.

4th and goal at the 3 (following 3rd and goal at the 3) = FG
4th and goal at the 7 (following 3rd and goal at the 7) = FG
    4th and 4 at the 7 (following 3rd and 2 at the 5) = FG
2nd and goal at the 3 (following 1st and 1 at the 1) = FG
    4th and 5 at the 16 (following 3rd and 5 at the 16) = FG

That was 20 points left on the table. They should have been able to punch those in for 7s. Alabama manned up and stopped them short FIVE times. If they don't settle for FGs on four of those, they end up with 60 points. They should have scored 60. Alabama didn't allow them to do so. Which is why Alabama won.

Unfortunately for Gus, the language he used was vague, and will be able to pumped up on the other sideline for motivation. I don't have a dog in the fight and it's pretty clear to me that he didn't mean anything but communicating that in order to win, you must punch it in when you're that close to the goal line.
