I'm not a Michigan fan - or a hater - and I feel badly for Western, but to my eyesight watching the replay, you could make a case that the instant the pass crossed the boundary line there was 1 second left.

A twitter post from the MAC office. Feel bad for the Broncos as they were the better team last night.

Ok I'm confused. If a player is in bounds but catches a ball that has gone past the sideline or endline is it still a catch? If so the ball must still be in play. So how does the clock stop if the ball is still in play? Just asking for a friend (from Kalamazoo)

Lots of people amazed at the storming of the field by Mich. fans after a win over WMU. You'll have to forgive them. They were mostly freshmen. They think that football is Pass Fail now at Michigan.

I have watched a number of so called Hail Mary's over the years. Regardless I guess it's a no win situation. Great for the winners, difficult to swallow for the losers. Really a tough one for Western Michigan for sure.:(

Yes, but the video review shown to the MAC commissioner confirmed that the player caught the ball OOB with one second left. Rather than calling the commisioner a liar, which a lot of aggrieved fans did, I choose to accept that all parties to the matter are honorable and the decision was correct. I still feel badly for WMU. I hope they can recover mentally for their next game.
