I see that Reggie Bush is suing USC, PAC12 and the NCAA over money he says he is owed $ from when he was cheating.

Former USC running back and 2005 Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush announced that he has filed a lawsuit against the university, the Pac-12 and the NCAA, seeking compensation for his name, image and likeness during his time with the program.

Bush's legal team says that the three organizations earned significant compensation thanks to Bush's "significant popularity" and "prominence" by way of TV contracts, merchandise sales and media rights.

Seems that since Kiffin graduated from the Saban rehab program he has matured.

Yeah I am not say he's matured. He's a Twitter addict and still gives plenty of quips in his press conferences.

But he's grown as a coach and would have the Gators going the right direction

Haven't heard him but have read a lot and most Gators agree with Terry's statement above.

I guess this was bound to happen. The starting QB for the 4-0 UNLV team, has quit over not getting the NIL money he thought he was promised. He's calling it a red-shirt so he can preserve a year of eligibility and hit the Portal in December.

    __________________

UNLV quarterback Matthew Sluka left the undefeated Rebels on Tuesday night over claims of unfulfilled verbal NIL promises from a UNLV assistant coach, a decision that illuminates the fragility of the current collegiate system and how talent is procured and retained.

Sluka's agent, Marcus Cromartie, told ESPN that UNLV didn't come through on a verbal offer of $100,000 from an assistant coach. The quarterback's father, Bob Sluka, told ESPN that head coach Barry Odom later said in a phone conversation that the offer wasn't valid because it didn't come from him, but rather from offensive coordinator Brennan Marion, who declined comment to ESPN.

Apparently Big 10 teams not exactly onboard with the Friday night games. Nebraska has requested that they not be included in the Friday night game and are only interested in the Black Friday game every other year with Iowa. Michigan has said they won't play on Friday night.

Huskers AD: No Friday games except Black Friday

    _________________________________________

Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel, speaking earlier this month on the school's "Conqu'ring Heroes" podcast, said the Wolverines would not be hosting Friday night games. Other Big Ten schools with massive stadiums, such as Ohio State and Penn State, have resisted hosting Friday games. This season, six Big Ten schools don't play on Fridays, while six others will play two Friday contests, including first-year members USC, Washington and Oregon.

Petitti has championed Friday games as national exposure opportunities for Big Ten schools, noting the strong TV ratings they typically generate. Several Big Ten schools often open their seasons with Thursday or Friday games on Labor Day weekend, including Michigan State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota and Illinois. Indiana's second games this fall occurred on a Friday, and Northwestern hosted a Week 2 Friday game against Duke.

But there has been some resistance to weeknight games following Week 1, as coaches cite the conflicts with high school football.

Yep, Friday nights in Ohio are a religious holiday reserved for high school football. Not unlike Texas and Alabama, I assume. Not only that, it's a major disruption to recruiting in that the in game visits/experiences are a big deal for the kids. Kinda hard to get recruits to visit a game on a Friday night. They need to rethink that one, no matter the $$$

UTEP has joined the Mountain West getting them back to the minimum 8 members. Seems like a good fit

Very interesting. In a way, it makes sense just from how orderly it appears. However, there is a myriad of issues that would need to be worked through which likely would prevent it from ever becoming a reality. Famous last words?

We’ve had this discussion before. I think I said 60 teams. 72 teams is close enough.

NIU losing to woefully inept UMASS. Looks like the ND win was all they had in the tank!

Aggies are stomping Mizzou and SMU is beating Louisville at home.

I guess it was bound to happen but a number of upsets yesterday. I do not know which upset was more unpredictable, Alabama or Tennessee?

Buckeyes did not look too swift in the first half with two turnovers, but managed to right the ship in the second half and win 35-7 over Iowa here at home.

Agree Don, first half very sloppy offensively, defense solid but it's Iowa we're talking about, but they did a very good job -v- the Iowa running game. 2nd half different story, alot to like out there. I have been esp pleased and pleasantly surprised by the much improved O-Line play. Much better execution in the running game. I think the addition of Chip Kelly will has turned out to be much more of a benefit in the running game than I had anticipated and Quinshon Judkins is the real deal. With potentially a 16 game season, we're very fortunate to have two really good backs to rotate and share the load.
