The idea that Stallions was operating a lone wolf is impossible to believe. The only thing preventing Michigan from being torched by the NCAA is that Stallions and those who were aware of the scheme have adopted a Sopano’s ethos of not snitching leaving the major charges leveled being a failure to cooperate with the NCAA. Yet, if you read the Michigan fan forums you will find confirmation for the adage that people believe what they wish is true regardless if the actual facts are right in front of them.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The NCAA announced a four-year show-cause order for former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh on Wednesday for impermissible contact with recruits and players while access was restricted during the COVID-19 pandemic, effectively banning him from college athletics until August 2028.

Texas lost starting RB CJ Baxter for the season.

    Pete Thamel.

Baxter, the No. 30 overall recruit in the 2023 ESPN 300, was expected to be a major contributor for Texas this season. Last year, Baxter became the first true freshman to start a season opener for the Longhorns since Ricky Williams in 1995, before leaving the Rice game with a rib injury after five carries for 38 yards.

I guess the show cause order doesn’t cover making Harbaugh the honorary captain for the first game. Kind of a middle finger to all of college football!

Gee I wonder how widespread this is?

Former Florida State running back Rodney Hill blames a "bad agent" for his circuitous path through the transfer portal to Arkansas.

Hill, who served as the Seminoles' No. 3 tailback and worked on kick returns last season, told Arkansas media Friday that he was forced to leave Florida State after coaches there learned an agent had been contacting other teams to gauge interest in Hill before he had entered the transfer portal.

Harbaugh said he won’t be able to be the Honorary Captain after all. Probably a good move.

Coach Day has named Will Howard, the starting QB for this season, earlier today. I am glad he has announced two weeks into the practice. Now he will get most of the reps and that should be helpful.

Hey gentlemen, we are officially one week away from college football returning! I have to say I can’t wait! Week 0 only has 4 matchups but it’s a great appetizer for the first week lol.
