Give the turn in football fortunes in Baton Rouge, I imagine they are looking at a dire situation with Vanderbilt coming to town and so far the Tigers have not been able to coral a QB who can make you pay with his legs.

    Huge game for Brian Kelly.

Watching the seasons first snow bowl in Cleveland tonight makes me wonder if the IU/Ohio State is likely to be played in this kind of weather

Weather forecast for Columbus tomorrow is not bad at all. Partly sunny with maybe a few sprinkles or snow showers and upper 40s. Pretty typical day around this time of year

Buckeyes now deciding to play to their strengths and pass. They have three elite receivers who present nightmare problems for the Hoosiers.

Buckeyes defense changed the game’s momentum in the 1H. Their blitzes were fast and lethal.

Total domination by Ohio. The next question is whether this game knocks Indiana out of the playoffs.

Yeah if you lose to the only ranked team that you play all year? This will be a good test to the committee. Does strength of schedule mean anything?

Reality sucks, but it doesn't diminish a great season for Indiana football. Even if IU is not in the playoffs, which no one remotely could have expected at the start of the season, the future is bright by historical IU football standards. They've beaten decisively 7 - and potentially 8 - Big 10 teams. The only conference win by less than 14 points was Michigan. The challenge now is to continue building a winning culture, maintaining that culture, and enhancing the roster through recruiting and wise use of the portal. The plan is to someday break the losing streak to OSU and to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Oregon, Penn State, and other top-level programs throughout the country. Pipe dream? Maybe. Hopeful? Absolutely!

It’s not Indiana’s fault that their schedule was so weak. The Big10 only has 4 teams with a winning record (Indiana being one). The problem is they only play one of those teams (Ohio State) and they lost decisively to them. Again it’s not Indiana fault but it is what it is. Objectively, that is a very weak SOS.

Delighted with the win obviously, but the game played out very differently than I anticipated.Henderson's slike to avoid scoring pleased me immensely.

Overall, there are 8 BT teams with winning records.

    Big Ten | Football | 2024 Standings

At the start of the season, you would have thought that a schedule that included the defending national champion and the NC runner up as well as Ohio State, UCLA, and Nebraska would have registered a decent strength of schedule rating but things did not turn out that way. Still a great season for the Hoosiers regardless of how things turn out re the playoffs.

I stand corrected. Still, the Hoosiers only played one conference opponent with a winning record and they lost decidedly to that team.

Alabama is in a single elimination situation. Every game is a must win to have a prayer to get into the playoff. Oklahoma is having a down year but they have the talent to beat anyone.
