Not sure what will happen with your QBs, but like I said earlier, I wouldn't be surprised to see him as your starter. Worst case, he'd be a capable backup.

He played really well in the bowl game last Dec. He's mobile, experienced but has a history of serious injuries. I wish him well.

I didn't know that Alabama had recruited Buchner out of HS.

Re Prime: when he met with the team he told them that those who didn't quit, he would run off.

Looks like he's keeping his word and everything is going to plan. I just saw he picked up a couple Bama kids, but I didn't see who.

Neither were starters, although Kennedy had a good deal of playing time.

Michigan getting a lot of love heading into the 2023 season, Harbaugh having broken the stranglehold the Buckeyes have had on their program for more than a few years. Michigan recruiting is also having a great start for the 2024 class, currently ranked #1.

Georgia is still #1 going into the season, rightfully so after all they have recruited well and have won back to back Nat'l Titles. So they are the champs till somebody steps up and beats them. They open the season with Clemson and the other non-conf games are Tenn Tech, UMass and Ga.Tech. They do travel to College Station to play Scott's Aggies in a very big game for both. Carson Beck who was a highly rated HS QB is likely to be their starter.

    1. Georgia
    2. Michigan
    3. Alabama
    4. Penn State ...this is a surprise to me.
    5. FSU ...another big surprise
    6. Ohio State
    7. Notre Dame ...truthfully a bit high IMHO.
    8.Clemson
    9. Texas ...also a bit high, better hope Quinn Ewers lives up to expectations.
    10. USC ... a bit low IMHO. Caleb Williams will win the Heisman and USC finally wins the Pac12, it could be that only the Irish in October stand in the way of an undefeated season.

College football post-spring Top 25 has Georgia, Michigan out front

Terry, for so many schools, beating Alabama is the highlight of their season or even their generation, so it won't really be bulletin board material....just another Saturday.

Malik Murphy, Longhorn backup QB, is getting interest from several schools. Of course not direct, they are all going to people around him to gauge his interest and make NIL promises. Poaching is now a big deal in the NCAA. The kid was highly recruited out of HS, a 5 star but has had injury issues and is finally healthy. He had a terrific spring game, and this says he's the #2 and Arch is #3.

Reports are surfacing about notable teams from the SEC, Big Ten, and PAC 12 trying to poach a backup QB from the Texas Longhorns roster. Those attempts failed, as the passer opted to remain in Austin and serve as QB2.

Maalik Murphy, a redshirt freshman from California, is primed to be the first option off the bench for Steve Sarkisian this season. While former five-star signal caller Quinn Ewers is firmly entrenched as the starter, Murphy outplayed Arch Manning this spring for the rights to the top reserve role.

Report: Power 5 Programs Tried To Poach Texas's Highly Rated Freshman QB
