I seem to remember that back in the Big 8 and early B12 days that the Buffs who were pretty good at the time had a pretty good hate on for the Huskers. Didn't that famous inital B12 Championhip game where the Longhorns upset the heavily favored Husker come on the heels of a tough win over Colorado that some thought left the Huskers out of gas for Texas the next week.

If I recall right that was in 96 and put the Gators in the Championship Game with FSU.

How do you think Dion will do at Colorado.

I was never a fan of him but as a coach he seems to have what it takes.

I was at that game in Lincoln. Coldest, most miserable weather I've ever endured for a game. Freezing rain most of the game. 17 - 12 win for NU. Rumor was half the team was sick headed into the B12 CG. Maybe that carried over to the next week, but the game was in the dome in St. Louis, so no excuses.

We shall see Bill. Deion seems to be able to motivate kids, but you still need energy and a game plan come the 4th qtr.

I don't like that the NCAA eliminated stopping the clock after first downs. If I wanted to watch the NFL....I would watch the NFL.

I definitely liked the clock stopping on 1st downs. But I do like them eliminating the "icing' of the kicker.

If they wanted to shorten games why not limit commercial timeouts to 2 min.? Oh what am I talking about. They want to limit playing time not money time.

I know Don but there's nothing worse about going to a game than sitting in 40 degree temps watching that ahole with the orange glove come out and stand on the field for what seems like 3 months.

Looks like QB will be a problem at Alabama. It could work out but someone is going to have to really up their game. Milroe has not really grabbed the reins. Running back is looking good, but wr is not standing out either. Hopefully, the defense will be outstanding, if not, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee are.going to be tough.

Yeah, I don't count on the portal. We have had the number one.or two top recruiting classes for the past 10 years at least. The answer should be in Tuscaloosa.

It will be interesting to see if either of your freshmen, Holstein or Lonergan, can make it into the competition in August.

Right now just based on the QB it looks like LSU is in the best shape. Daniels as a returning QB looks like the top SEC QB.

A&M has a very talented sophomore in Connor Weigman. He showed a lot at the end of the season when he finally got the job.

Of course neither A&M or LSU have Saban coaching the team. Advantage Tide.

My guess is our weakness will be upfront on the OL, particularly at OT. We'll have a new QB but Day recruited the position well and I trust either of the front runners will be serviceable, tho perhaps a step down from the last few years. WR/RB should be a strength and I believe (pray) the defense will be much improved in Knowles year 2. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't look to the portal to find some quality depth, if not an experienced starting tackle. Not ideal, but it is what it is after a few recent recruiting misses, hence the new OL coach last year.

Fortunately they have a new O coordinator who's used to scheming for a team without a top QB.
