Kelly went for 2 against the Aggies as well when he was down by 21. Not sure how the math works out for that, but he's definitely a point chaser.
Ron English is the DC for Purdue. He was M’s DC during the last part of the Carr era and was thought to be Lloyd’s likely successor until App State visited AA.
The Irish won all their games vs ACC opponents again this year, and thrashed both Clemson and UNC soundly...just sayin'
Quick hook for DJ Ungaleili the Clemson starter and the true freshman from Austin Texas Cade Klubnik is now in the game. Prediction ...if he stays on the bench, DJ to the Portal.
Don't know what happens in the halftime lockeroom but in both this game and the Ohio State game Michigan has come out and smoked the opposition.
See the interview of Saban at halftime? When asked to make a case for Bama in the playoff with 2 losses he said that you should look at the two teams and pick the one that would be favored if they played. So if Bama played TCU who would be favored? On another note Purdue is still. in this game, 19-28 in the 4th quarter and Purdue has the ball deep in their territory. Michigan leads because they have gotten touchdowns and held Purdue to field goals. interesting game. Michigan just intercepted and should score and wrap this one up.
Purdue is a team on the rise. They have a freshman QB in the wings who is very, very good and has the potential to be great. Key word, potential. Brady Allen.
As far as the Heisman goes, I look no further than the TCU QB. That kid is a winner in spite of the end of that game. Contrast that to the thug millionaire QB of USC who may have more talent but who feels compelled to write obscenities directed to the other team on his knuckles as part of his uniform. No thanks.
I saw the interview. Before I saw it and after TCU lost, I felt that Alabama should supplant TCU as the 4th team regardless of the 2 losses. But I'm not on the committee, so we'll see how it shakes out. I'm OK either way.
I saw it too. I guess he felt he had to do it but I don't agree with him. He talked about expanding the playoff to make more bowl games relevant again but I submit that letting a 2 loss team into the playoffs instead of a one-loss team that played a legitimate schedule risks making the regular season irrelevant. Now, I'm not going to revolt if Alabama gets put in and it will not have a long lasting effect on the playoffs since they are expanding in a couple of years but I don't think a 2 loss team should get in ahead of a team with a better record.
