I'm seeing reports that Bret Bilema has gone off on Big 10 refs. Will cost him $$ and maybe more if true
None of the top teams so far are killing their opponents. TCU and Mich had miracle escapes and Ohio State has finally gotten a comfortable lead, Kentucky is giving Georgia all they can handle.
That was a wild 4th quarter to say the least. Both teams played their hearts out. I really questioned whether we were going to win this one. Definitely will sleep better this evening.
21-7 South Carolina over Tenn after the 1st qtr. That's a big shock. I expect the Vols will explode and beat them handily in the end. A loss here is devastating to their season
The Aggies had 3 redzone fumbles which deflated the scoring quite a bit... Apparently Texas weather kids playing in 40 degrees and rain had a hard time holding onto the ball. I had to check the roster to figure out who some of the guys playing were! The offense has really taken a beating with injuries... TCU won in spite of Sonny Dykes clock management at the end. Running the ball with 15 seconds left and no way to stop the clock usually ends in a bad outcome.
I don't blame him for being upset but he should have kept his anger to himself. I saw the replay. It was a 4th down short pass and an obvious pick block while the ball was in the air. It had to be called but wasn't.
In a bit of a surprise, the Rambling Wreck with an interim coach beat North Carolina at Chapel Hill, They still are in the ACC Championship game though. Another shocker. Ole Miss is putting together a package for Lane Kiffin to make hm one of the highest paid coaches in an effort to make sure he's not lured by Auburn. So what happens today....he's getting beat 35-6 at halftime by Arkansas. This will be his 3rd loss in the last 4 games, only wounded A&M giving him the win.
It's 42-31 South Carolina late 3rd period. Watching USC/UCLA it's 21-20 UCLA. USC has a lot of yards but has missed 2 FG, been stopped on 4th down in the redzone. I have to say, Caleb Williams has an impressive arm, and he throws extremely wll on the run. Not to mention he's got some wheels when he takes off to run.
Switched to Tenn/South Carolina at the USC half...looks like South Carolina has the good Spencer Rattler tonight and the Vols have no answer on defense
11 plays 75 yard drive, aided by a couple of critical penalites and South Carolina is up 49-31. Then Hooker fumbles and is injured and South Carolina takes over at the 17, they take it in for the TD in a couple of plays and now lead 56-31. Game over. Huge upset and a disaster for the Vols.
Looks like USC is pulling away from UCLA, another Bruini turnover and USC scores quickly. 34-24. Williams showed off the wheels on a really nice QB run to the 2 yard line. Kid is the real deal as an elite QB.
USC escapes with the win, UCLA's QB throws the late pick and USC runs out the clock. I sort of expect USC to jump up to #5 with Vols loss, jumping over LSU. It was the preferred outcome for Irish fans, we'd love to ruin their season next week. I expect however to be heavy underdogs.
The Aggies hosted UMass on Saturday in what should have been a fairly straightforward game. The Minutemen are just 1-9 and have lost in blowout fashion to the likes of Toledo and Buffalo this season. However, the game was shockingly competitive at halftime, with the Aggies ahead just 10-3. After the band’s halftime performance, Texas A&M fans at Kyle Field seemingly decided to vote with their feet, so to speak.
LOL... arrived in town with plans to go... and then the rain came and it was 39 degrees. I heard from a few folks who attended the first half. Needless to say, they didn't leave because of the team, they left cuz that aint Texas football weather!
Sad ot hear that Hendon Hooker is done with a torn ACL. He was a fun QB to watch. Hope he recovers and is 100%. I imagine the injury will have an impact on his draft position.
