NOBODY in sleepy marijuana dens like Berkeley, Boulder or Eugene is awake at 9:00 AM. The stadiums would have been empty.
I hope he has a great year, usually when a kid leaves the program even as a grad transfer I usually don't really care how they do, do well or not. But with Brandon I really hope he does well.
Yeah, I guess he figures it can't win on the field then they must be cheating. Watch out Don, y'all are next!
Are you guys talking about Harbaugh's new book where he compares UM football program to all the top programs on the field (The Blue Bloods) and to the Ivy League in the Classroom? He seems to have forgotten what he said when he was at Stanford ( I think)
Don’t think that is a Harbaugh quote re playing the football blue bloods with academic bluebloods. There is a book coming out by a Michigan prof and passages from the book have been dribbled out to stir up publicity. I think that quote is from someone in the AD department. Re the cheaters comment, not a good idea to make those accusations unless you have names and facts to back up the statements.
Yeah Miss St tutor cheating is probably why Florida beat Michigan last year. I guess Maryland, Ohio State, Indiana,Rutgers,Illinois,Nebraska are in another conference.
Corey, I believe Missouri and Mississippi are also currently on probation with Auburn and LSU under investigation in basketball. So when you have 35% of the conference under a cloud, that is not a good look for the SEC. But, M’s past, especially in BB, in not pristine and the recent stories re Nike and Adidas suggest some of the big boys in other conferences are not all that clean. The NCAA really lacks the tools, such as the power of subpoena, to enforce its rules and it seems that the only ones caught are blatant violators whose activity pops onto the radar screen of law enforcement or becomes a national story if a witness with knowledge decides to go talk to the media.
I listen to Mark Packer a lot on ESPNU radio and his theory is that the SEC is so competitive that the coaches are forced to take more kids who probably shouldn't be in college and more prone to taking a few ..ahem..short cuts. Alabama and Georgia don't have to do that.
Longhorns are down to 1 scholarship RB right now and he is a true freshman who played WR in HS! Sure will put a lot of pressure on Sam Ehlinger who is a big part of the Texas running attack. La.Tech is our opener, I don't know what Herman is going to do. You can't play 1 rb even against La.Tech.
