Gators have a lot going for them, well coached and you guys are a mature team as opposed to say Kentucky who is all freshman/sophs....and the sophs are pissed they had to come back for another year.

The Gators seem to have replaced Syracuse as not only number 1 but making these escapes and having all close games. At this point it seems to become a grind.

    Go Gators.

AT Vandy is always tough in BB.

Last time UF was ranked #1 the 2007 eventual national champions lost 83-70 at Vandy.

Got by Vandy and handled LSU easily.

Kentucky lost to Arkansas so we had cinched the SEC regular season before taking the court today.

    31 straight wins at home.

    Bill,

Florida looks like a final four team to me! They might end up as King of the Hill. :

I have to agree Don, however there is no such thing as a lock and all it takes is one bad day by your team or one really hot day by another team and bye bye dreams.

Having said that I love this Florida team, the are unselfish, play as a team and are really good on defense.

Donovan deserves to win his third, as I said above about Phil Fulmer, Donovan is a class act.

Was reading interesting stuff over on Kentucky message boards about their opinion of Florida BB and it seemed to me most felt UF is either on the cusp of or already is an elite BB program mostly attributable to Billy Donovan.

They even threw up comparative stats supporting the argument that if Tom Izzo and his MSU program are BB elite then so is Donovan and his Florida program.

I respect objective statements made by Ky BB fans on their own message board because their program truly has been the class of the SEC and a nationally elite program for a long time.

IMHO Florida is pretty much an elite program already. And Billy Donovan is the reason.

Gators are an elite program and it is the coach, it's always the coach. Kentucky had an elite history, but wasn't elite for a few years there..they are back to elite now.

Texas was an elite program for awhile under Rick Barnes, but we've fallen back and are still a good program but not an elite program.

Syracuse is on a losing streak since falling from the undefeated and Duke lost to ACC bottom feeder Wake Forrest last night. Yup you can tell the season is coming to an end. There are always late season upsets and highly seeded teams who lose early in their conference playoffs.

We had a bunch of upsets in the B12. Texas is looking pretty good for getting back to the NCAA's with a decent seed.

Big win by the Huskers tonight over Wisky. Picked to finish last in the B10, they are seeded 4th for the B10 tourney and look like they will be in the Big Dance.

Great young coach and a state of the art new arena that rocks. Fun times in Lincoln. Congrats AJ.

I've watched Nebraska play 3-4 times during the second half of the season. I'm very impressed with their defense, which sets up their ability to force teams out of their comfort zones. They're peaking late and could make some noise in the Big10 tournament and beyond.

In my best Elvis....Thank ya...Thank ya very much...

AND HOW ABOUT THOSE LADY HUSKERS!! BIG 10 WOMENS CHAMPS!!

The new arena is only a 1/2 mile from Memorial Stadium. The Haymarket area has had an injection of new businesses and is now a thriving nightlife and dining area. Mixed with the old and new, it's become the epicenter of entertainment in Lincoln.

I'M TELLING YA....THE PLACE WILL BE ROCKING WHEN THE CANES COME TO TOWN.....

While my Buckeyes have endured a disappointing season, at least by my standards, the win over Sparty at home yesterday was a thing of beauty.

    Congrats on that one Don.

There are two teams I want to see Florida completely avoid in the NCAA tourney.... and those teams are Michigan and Michigan State.

I guess just to spite my ass every time a Florida football or BB team plays those Michigan schools we get our butts beat.

I don't want to see that.
