Ohio State is ranked in the top 25 for the first time since the 2015 season. We are on a road trip now, beating Rutgers Sunday night, will Northwestern Wed night and Minnesota at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. If we can win those three games, we will really be in good shape.

McDonalds AA teams are set now. Only 10 schools so far have players on the team.

Not a single Big East team has a player, and no team in the Big 12 not named KU has a player. Not a single Big10 team not named Maryland has a player. There are of course players who are not committed, but that's concentrating the talent pretty tightly.

Buckeyes beat Northwestern this evening on the road 71-65, to remain undefeated in conference play. Golden Gophers up next at Madison Square Garden Saturday.

I see in this morning's sports news on the Internet, Chris Holtmann becomes the third coach to win his first seven games in 95 years!

Ohio State was picked by the media to place 11 in the Big Ten Preseason polls.

How long this bubble will last is anyone's guess, but it certainly is being enjoyed by myself and Buckeye fans everywhere. :p

Terry, The Big Ten is having a doubleheader in the Garden with the Ohio State Minnesota game and the Gophers will be in a hockey match later in the afternoon. This is the brainchild of Jim Delaney to increase the money in the coffers. Many are saying it will be a bust as many New Yorkers will not attend?

The noon hour start for basketball is not a good time. OSU has many alumni in the area, but that does not mean they will attend. I can not remember who the Gophers will play in the hockey segment.

It's the third "Big 10 Super Saturday" at Madison Square Garden.

Buckeyes take on Minny in basketball...then they'll put down the ice and Minnesota takes on Michigan State in hockey.

Last year Wiscy played both bball (Rutgers) and hockey (Ohio State), and in 2016 it was Michigan vs. PSU in both games.

Getting back to last night's game...it was very workman like and kind of boring until the end. Ohio State was never threatened (until very late) but never really put Northwestern away either.

My worry is the ball handling and struggle against the press. Other teams gonna take notice.

    Stu,

It was good to see Micah Potter contribute and be a bit more aggressive. I totally agree about the ball handling under pressure.

Not particularly looking forward to Purdue at home!

Texas got a big win at home vs #8 Texas Tech, who was coming off a win at Lubbock vs #2 West Virgina. Texas freshman post, Mo Bamba dominated inside and we got some good play from guards. Keep that name Bamba in the back of your mind, he's a true 7' player with tremendous skills around the basket and is getting better and better. Dominating shot blocker. Problem for Texas has been scoring, but not last night.

B12 is probably the top Conference in basketball this year, even ahead of the ACC. Longhorns will have to play very well to be in the top half of the Conference.

Gators up and down this season, beat Arkansas last night to be 5 - 1 in conference play.

I still have hopes this team will come back in the rankings.

Michigan State came to play last night against the Hoosiers at the Bressling Center in East Lansing. The Spartans bombarded Indiana by almost 30 points and were extremely aggressive on their home court. I am glad we only had to play them once in conference play. They were their old self and not the team we beat here in Columbus.

Buckeyes topple Minnesota in Madison Square Garden 67-49 for win number 8 in Big ten Play. Second half was a bit ugly for both teams, but a win is a win! Our defensive play today was outstanding.

Irish fought hard but just couldn't buy a bucket in the last few minutes.

Watching the start of the UK/UF game, high school all Stars vs college team.. so far pretty good game.

Baylor blew it big at KU. They had the lead in the last few minutes and let KU go on a 9-0 run to finish and the win.

Duke is the new Kentucky. They picked up the commit of the #2 rated player in Zion Williamson. They also have the #1 and the #3 rated kids along with the #10 rated kid. Coach K has bought totally into the 1 and done philosophy of team building.

Terry, what makes you say the Duke recruits are one and done? Because of their ranking?
