Once again it appears that Alabama lives or dies by the threes. They don't appear to have any other offense. Decent defense thus several upsets.

The Aggies have quietly snuck up to #5 but now things get interesting.
Road game at Arkansas then: Iowa St., Vanderbilt, and South Carolina all in a row.
    Tough stretch.
Hoping Big Tyler Davis is back in the lineup for all.

Iowa State did go ahead and beat KU again last night, they've won 4 out of the last 5 vs KU. Nobody else can make that claim.

Ralph..Coach K was also against the inclusion of Notre Dame in the ACC, but it was mainly he wanted us either fully in or not at all. Didn't like the partial alignment in football.

Iowa is quietly having a very good year as well and are up to #4 in the rankings. Just as big a surprise as their success in football this year. They had back to back losses to Dayton and then Notre Dame both at home and a road loss to Iowa State. All teams either ranked or just outside the top 25 in the case of the Irish/Dayton depending on which poll you are looking at.

Butler was looking good for awhile but they've sort of hit some rough patches, while Purdue, IU and ND all are in the AP top 25.

Wisconsin beat Indiana in OT last night in Madison. Iowa is now the only undefeated team in the B1G TEN.

Big Monday game is UNC vs Louisville.

Irish have a trip to Miami this week on Wed, then we face UNC at home next Saturday. Very tough, I would be surprised if we win either one of those games.

Texas/Baylor also on Big Monday. Texas really has started to play like a Shaka Smart team. He's got some solid players on the recruiting trail so things are trending up in Austin with regards to Basketball.

I haven't followed, but how has Rick Barnes been doing.? He was an excellent recruiter, especially early in his tenure at Texas.

Bigger question is how are Lady Vol fans feeling about the direction of the program?

They didn't play anybody, that's who!! Irish except in garbage time weren't competitive on offense where they couldn't buy a basket while on defense Miami was draining 3's and getting layups.

I didn't expect to win as I said, but dang we looked terrible. Miami is a very good team, lots of good shooters and they are well coached. This year the Irish are just out manned inside we have one guy who is 6'10" and that's about it. When he got in foul trouble early Miami's big men did just about anything they wanted.

Could be a rough finish for the Irish this year, we have 7 games left and 5 of them are on the road at the better teams in the ACC.
