Buckeyes and Aggies combined couldn't throw it in the ocean from the 3 point line!

Wow, you aren't kidding. 16% is abysmal.
The Aggies usually drop the 3 a lot better than that.
Road wins are always good, no matter how you get them, so I'll just be happy.

From the highlights I did see... looks like it was a great game with lots of lead changes.

    Zach Edey slimming down!:p

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- To fuel his 7-foot-4 frame each morning, Purdue star Zach Edey has to load up on calories.

"It's a lot," he told ESPN on Sunday after practice. "This morning, I had a ham-and-cheese omelet. I had hash browns. I had some white toast. I had French toast with that. And then I went to Everbowl and I had a little Acai bowl."

That's more than 2,000 calories to start the day.

But the reigning Wooden Award winner said his diet and cravings have changed this season. Edey said he has lost 10 pounds in part to be a more mobile big man and prove he can compete with players at the next level. Last season, he played at 305 pounds, but he has now slimmed down to 295 pounds.

huh...some how I missed that the Big 10/ACC challenge is no more. The ACC was replaced with the Big East. I wonder why.

I do see that the ACC has replaced the Big 10 with the SEC. Maybe it was just a mutal thing, both wanting to explore other conferences. Or maybe it was a money thing. Don't know.

I watched a lot of the Kansas/Kentucky game. KU is going to be very good with the addition of Hunter Dickinson from Michigan. Kentucky has a lot of talent for sure, but it's a very young team as are most of Cal's teams, loaded with 4 and 5 star freshmen.

Kansas State women upset Iowa at home last night. Clark had a terrible night trying to score, ball simply was not working for her on offense.

I see that the B12 is going to vote on whether to admit Gonzaga in all sports except football which of course they don't play.

I don't really get this, certainly the B12 doesn't need Gonzaga even though in basketball they are big time and would make the conference even greater, but with the new teams coming in we have plenty of teams and a 17th basketball team even one like Gonzaga would really seem to complicate things from a travel and scheduling perspective.

It's not a done deal though.

Gonzaga would seem like a cultural fit to the Big East which except for UCONN is an all Catholic University conference.
    ______________

Big 12 presidents are expected to meet next week to discuss expansion, a league source said Friday, with the talks once again involving Gonzaga.

The league's presidents could vote on whether to add Gonzaga, the source said. It is unclear if commissioner Brett Yormark has enough support to add Gonzaga to what already is the strongest men's basketball conference in the country.

Big 12 to resume talks to add Gonzaga, source says

Terry, I think they are snapping up any property they can to make their TV deals more attractive.
Give them credit for being proactive.
I agree that it makes things much more complex and the travel will be ugly... but this is all about staying relevant and the $$ that come with it.

Purdue overcomes Tennessee 71-67 in the Semi Finals of the Maui Invitational. The Volunteers have a tenacious defense that never quits. Looks like a Kansas Purdue match for the finals.

Well I was wrong about that as Marquette upset Kansas. I predict Tennessee will give the Jayhawks all they can handle today.

Shaka Smart seems to have found a good place at Marquette since getting fired at Texas. I guess it was just a bad cultural fit for him in the Southwest.

Seems like it got heated for a minute with a KU player trash talking at Shaka and some words and technical were exchanged.

Marquette will take on No. 2 Purdue for the tournament championship Wednesday (5 p.m. ET, ESPN). The Golden Eagles will be the first team since Loyola Chicago in 1972 to play the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in the AP Top 25 on consecutive days and 10th overall. The Ramblers are the only team to win both games, doing so in the 1963 NCAA tournament by beating No. 2 Duke on March 22 and No. 1 Cincinnati on March 23.

The Maui Tournament has really had some great games., Purdue and Marquette are in a great game for the Championship right now. Purdue leading, Marquette has no answer for Edey.

Marquette is relentless. Purdue hung on for a 3 point win, but they were under pressure up to the end.
