Don your Lady Buckeyes got off to such a great start to the year and then hit a bit of a rough spot but now they seem to be playing at that level again. I didn't see the game but all the talk was about the Ohio State defense and their press.

Longhorns go to half leading Miami 45-37. Looking good for a trip to the final 4 for the Longhorns.

Worlds biggest jinx!! Up 13 and it was looking really good, but then Miami got hot and Texas started letting it slip away. Of note Miami was nearly 100% from the FT line in the 2nd half, how many times have it been said you have to make the FT's.

2 Fla teams in the Final 4, Miami and FAU both low seeds one a 5 and the other a 9.

    We have 1 4 (UCONN), 2 r

Watching Iowa/Louisville womens game and it's a really good game. The Hawkeyes and Catlin Clark have the upper hand, Catlin IMHO is the most exciting player to watch in the game of basketball right now.

Iowa is headed to the Final Four, Catlin had a 40 point triple double, the first in NCAA Tournament History. The South Carolina/Iowa game could be reallygood. South Carolina is like the Army of Darkness, undefeated and unchallenged for the most part. Everybody thinks they are unbeatable. I'm hoping for a Va.Tech Nat'l Championship though, but I would like to see Iowa take down South Carolina.

In addition to the Final Four coming to Houston this week, we also will have the McDonalds AA game at the Rockets home court, the Toyota Center. The biggest and most recognizable name is of course Bronny James, Lebron's son. He's got offers from Kentucky, Memphis, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and USC but hasn't made any commitment. Another of the top players. Matas Buzelis from Wichita has chosen to go to the NBA G League Ignite a developmental team for players to spend the year before being eligible for the NBA draft.

Terry, you may have seen this but just in case you haven't:

    From 247 Sports:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rodney Terry, who led Texas to a Big 12 Tournament title and the Elite Eight after taking over for dismissed head coach Chris Beard, will be offered the Longhorns’ permanent head-coaching position, a high-level university source told Horns247 Sunday night.

If an agreement can be reached quickly, an announcement of Terry being named the head coach at Texas could come as early as Tuesday, the source told Horns247.

Tonight the Buckeyes women will play #1 seed VT for a spot in the Final Four. Win or lose, this group of young women have been an inspiration to me.:)

You know Don, I love teams like this. They show so much heart that win or lose they are a success. The Alabama softball team is one of those.

Va Tech struggled with the press that Tennessee put on them in the 2nd half, Don. Buckeyes seem to have a terrific press that was the key to the win over UCONN.

Down by three points at the half in a nip and tuck battle. Ohio State is shooting 64.3% thus far. Our press is bothering them.

Bad 3rd quarter for the Buckeyes. I honesty do not know if we can recover. Our offense just disappeared.

Really good game, Buckeyes are sort of running out of time though.

One good half and a terrible second half does not cut the mustard. We went from hot shooting to stone cold and we simply lost our composure. The season ends with a disappointing loss but a good season overall. Now if the men can play as well as the women this winter we will be back in business.:)

Hokies win, made the free throws down the stretch, and you have to give it to Kitley and Amoore.

    Final 4 is complete.

South Carolina, Va Tech are 1 seeds and Iowa a 2 and LSU a 3 seed.

South Carolina is the heavy favorite. That match with Catlin Clark and Iowa should be very good.
