Mixed emotions, I think it is probably time for him to move on and good chance he would have been let go. However I also feel way to many Gator fans are far to ready to fire an existing coach. Frustrates me a lot sometimes. But I think it was time on this one.
I did not watch the entire game last night but the Indiana Wyoming game started out with neither team seem to get the ball in the basket. I see the Hoosiers finally prevailed and I am glad they made the tournament.
What a relief to finally see Ohio State win against Loyola Chicago today 54-41. A ragged game with good defense, but boring to watch at the same time. Kyle Young being able to play was a huge advantage in this game. Loyola gave us some help with their poor shooting and turnovers.
Texas is taking care of business against Va.Tech. Truthfully I'm a bit surprised. I really liked the Va.Tech team that ran the table in the ACC tourney, beating ND, UNC and Duke on successive nights. I picked them to win in the contest. But maybe their string ran out when they cut down the nets in Charlotte for the ACC title.
Texas beats VaTech, next up is Purdue... this could be a really good match up. Illinois in a bit of trouble with Chattanooga, down 5 with less than 5 to play. They have never lead so far in the game.
The Illini survive, only led the last 25 seconds. Chattanooga lost it at the free throw line, missed a critical 1 and 1 late that was a killer. Only shot 50% from the line.
Another 11 - 6 upset as 11 seed Iowa State beats LSU. Of course LSU just fired Will Wade the head coach so that might be a factor. Michigan State in a battle with Davidson, a one point lead at half.
Baseball loses a slugfest at Louisville, 16-11. Disappointing as Pitching has been great this season. But the Cards are a terrific offense, I read that their entire starting lineup had slugging % of. 500 or better
Looks like Houston will win and Michigan State will hang on and win a close game. 3 seed Wisconsin is tied with Colgate at the half. If Colgate were to pull the upset this would be equivalent to the St Peter's upset of Kentucky.
I didn't watch the game, was golfing, but comments I am reading are that it might have been the worst ref 'd game in a while and Baylor got away with mauling UNC down the stretch in regulation.
