Florida is pretty well out of the NCAA tourney.

We played Texas A&M who had lost 8 straight. Fell behind by double digits, came back to lead 55-53 then fouled a player shooting a 3 pointer. He gets 3 free throws, makes them all and Gators lose 56-55.

Bill, Don't feel bad. The Huskers, even if they run the table, win the B1G tourney, will still get laughed at by the NIT committee.

It was a typical game for the Aggies - play pretty well till near the end then run out of gas. Except this time they made a few free throws...

Longhorns still can't handle Texas Tech, even in Austin. Have to give Mark Adams a lot of credit for the job he's done taking over for Beard.

Huge upset by Bill's Gators over Kentucky. Rushing the court worthy, will cost the Gators 50 K I think!

Buckeyes lose to Iowa here at home this afternoon 75-62, ending a 11-0 run here at home. We played well for three quarters of the game and then sort of lost our focus or juice.

Saw something on TV last night re: Florida-Auburn that I found interesting. Not sure if I remember accurately:
    1. Auburn has lost consecutive games at Florida (19?) going back to 1996.
    2. The win over Auburn was the highest ranked team beaten in the history of Florida basketball.

Hard to imagine given the Gators won back to back National Championships under Billy Donavan.

All Badgers in the second half with Michigan. Unfortunately the game ended with a brawl between the coaches and then the players became involved as well in the handshake line.. I really hate to see this happen in any college game.

Didn't see it, but not a good look. I imagine that the Big 10 will be assessing some penalties. Sounds like Howard was out of line.

The video I saw on ESPN it looks like Howard actually threw a punch. If so might be the end of the season for him.

Watched it 3 times. Definitely was a punch, at least IMO.

FWIW, there needs to be accountability, but I don't believe he should be fired. If asked for my opinion, I'll recommend suspension. ;)

Totally inexcusable behavior. If they follow university policy re committing an act of physical violence, he is gone.

I wonder who will act first. The Big 10 or Michigan. I would imagine this is a bitter pill for UM. Howard, as an Alum, coming back and the success he had both on the court and in recruiting had UM basketball on the upswing. Not sure what went wrong this year at UM, they were highly ranked to start the season. Is it just that Howard isn't a good coach or was this team done in by youth and injuries?

Certainly, many around the basketball world are calling for his dismissal.

One thing I've noticed watching womens colllege basketball this year, there are no handshake lines in the games (Notre Dame mostly) that I have watched. While the men are back with handshake lines. I wonder why.

Howard suspended for remainder of regular season but eligible to coach in the B10 tournament. Loses 130K in pay plus 40K fine. 2 Mi and 1 Wisky player suspended for 1 game. Gard fined 10k.

I think Juwan got off lightly. At a minimum, should have been suspended for the regular season and playoffs. Not sure Gard deserved a fine.
