I know many of you don't watch womens basketball, but after the Notre Dame/NCState women's game I watched a lot of the Oregon/Oregon State game and that was a really exciting game to watch. Oregon has a lot of talent. They got taken out by the Irish last year in the Elite 8, but I won't bet on them not making the Final Four this year and having a legit shot at the NC. BTW they lost last night but it was on the road at a very good Oregon State team that came out firing on all cyclinders.

Bad start for Duke, Zion and Nike .. Zion's Nike sneakers blow up and he's out injured now.

UNC is taking advantage and is running Duke out of the building

Loss of Zion clearly impacted the game, but it's not like Duke only had 1 guy. They have more McDonalds AA than UNC, and 2 other guys who are NBA lottery picks. However that sudden loss of a teammate certainly changed things.

The question is now will Zion come back? Or will he opt out of playing any more this season and declare for the NBA.

Sad note, Syracuse Coach Jim Boeheim struck and killed a man on his way home last night. He doesn't drink, confirmed by a .00 BAC. Apparently the man and his companions had an unexplained accident on the freeway and the man he struck was outside his car on the freeway side when coach hit him. It was bad weather last night as well.

I can not imagine how one would feel after experiencing such a tragedy. I hope I never will either.:(

I guess the IU fans got pretty abusive towards the Purdue players, one in particular, and foul language was used in an orchestrated manner from the IU crowd. The IU Ath Director has issued an apology to Purdue and it's players for the behavior of the fans.

Probably safe to say Indiana fans are not enjoying this basketball season. Indiana and Purdue have always had a great rivalry, so this kind of reaction is disappointing.

Texas just ditched Sr. Guard Kerwin Roach...ie suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules....which is usually code for weed.

Not that it helps Texas, but Texas Tech just hammered KU, it's looking more and more like the KU domination of the B12 is over for this year and that for the 1st time in 14 years the B12 Reg Season Champion will not be KU.

Caught most of Duke/Syracuse. Good game, Duke pulled away at the end as in crunch time the 'Cuse couldn't shoot straight.

Michigan State beats UM today and seemingly takes control of the B1G race.

Tom Izzo never ceases to surprise me even with a short-handed group of players! He is a great coach. His teams are always in the hunt down the stretch.

No kidding Don, while I wouldn't call Izzo's teams short of talent, they are also not loaded with 1 and done players like Duke and Kentucky.

Coming down to the end of the regualar sesaon. Some big games, mostly rematches will be played in the next week or so. Duke/UNC with Zion, Kentucky/Tenn, Michigan/MSU to mention a few.

If you have not been watching Duke /VaTech you have been missing a hell of a game. Looks like Tech might pull the upset

Ohio State finally gets a signature win over a ranked over Iowa at home here in Columbus 90-70, thanks to Justin's Ahrens's 29 points for the freshman guard. Indiana upsets Wisconsin in double OT as well.

Apparently Iowa coach Fran McCaffrey wasn't too happy with the refs, reportedly cursed them out after the game and called them a bunch of cheating refs.
