We played Michigan State tough for 55 minutes but wilted the last five minutes! Cris Holtmann has the team on the right course.

Alabama shows flashes of being a very good team...then they lose to Georgia State!

Can any B10 team beat Michigan? They don't play MSU till late Feb, who can stop them? They seem to be a more traditional college team, not like Duke built with a slew of 1 and done top 10 NBA lottery picks.

I have a lot of faith in Coach Holtman. We only play Michigan once this year and the game is at Ann Arbor. There is always a chance, but a thin one. Would be a huge win for us if we can pull it off.

College Football is done, so College Basketball now has center stage. I haven't actually seen a Duke game just high lights of their mega freshman star Zion Williamson and his monster dunks. Duke comes to Notre Dame Jan 28th so I'll get a good look then, probably will be multiple highlights for him against the Irish.

Watch out for Texas Tech, they beat OU last night and I did watch some of that game. Those guys are pretty good and will give KU a run, as will TCU, in the B12.

Rutgers simply outhustled us on their home court. We better be prepared for another road at Iowa come Saturday afternoon!:(

The two Michigan teams may run away with the B1G. They look that good. Maryland looking pretty good as well. Purdue had a good win over Wisconsin last night in Madison.

Irish roster keeps shrinking. Today's game with BC is down 2 players, high minutes players. The guy who was #11 at the start of the season, is now the 6th man today. This game was considered a must win game, because the next 7 are in the not likely to win category.

Texas Tech took down the Longhorns in Austin, Tech is a well coached team. That coach is going to be a target with the next big time opening. Just a note. Shaka Smart is 24-33 in Big 12 play at Texas. Not a record to endure him to Texas fans.

Also another young coach doing well, Chris Mack who had Xavier playing at a high level during his career there took Louisville to Chapel Hill yesterday and put one of the worst beatings on a UNC team in Roy Williams career. I thought Mack was nut for jumping into the cesspool of Louisville basketball, maybe he's going to do a good job there and turn them around

Well Down goes Duke to Syracuse at home in OT. If Michigan doesn't get upset they will likely ascend to the #1 spot in the next poll.

Texas nearly took down KU at KU last night. The Longhorns lead at halftime by 2, and ended up losing by 2. One of our better games this year. Too bad they haven't been able to play consistently like they played last night.

    Terry,

Do you think Shaka survives this season if they don't make a deep run into the tourney?

Corey, right now Shaka is on Shaky ground. Right now Bracketology has the Longhorns as 11 seeds. We are 2-3 in the B12 right now, and with our inconsistent play, we could end up on the wrong side of the bubble. So to make it to next year he has to 1st get into the tourney, I don't think anybody expects a deep run in the tourney. I don't think they want to fire Shaka though, I think they like him and are going to give him a lot of rope.

it's interesting that Texas fans are so much more understanding in hoops, whereas football is a whole different story. :)

Caught the last minute of the Alabama / Tennessee game. It was tight and when Williams got that charging foul and fouled out and it was Bama down 1 with the ball it looked like they were likely going to win till there guy traveled and turned it right back to the Vols. I thought the call was iffy but it bailed out Tennessee and they held on to win..

Lots of upsets yesterday of ranked teams. Texas Tech lost on the road to Baylor, Texas beat OU at Austin, West Virginia beat KU at Morgantown, and Purdue beat IU.
