Ag's lose...with the weather I don't even know how they got that game in yesterday.

    Columbia is still alive!

Irish vs Illinois washed out, scheduled for today.

A great play from the Cal left fielder to prevent a homerun, and lack of fundamentals (getting down the sac bunts properly!) cost the Aggies last night in what turned out to be a pretty good game.

I have felt for a while that Childress ain't the guy to get us to the top. He's a great pitching coach, but fails when it comes to having a fundamentally sharp team.
    We won't fire him.
He gets us to the post season and that's good enough for our lazy AD.
    :x

Irish lose 2 today and are done. Disappointing of course, but still the season was a success and hopefully we've turned the corner as a program.

Texas also eliminated by in state rival (can't believe I typed that) Dallas Baptist.

    Terry,
DBU has built a VERY good program.
They schedule big dogs for their Non Cons ever year, and they win them (thus their very good RPI).

The Aggies win the second game with Cal to force the rubber match tonight.
I beleive we will actually get to be in our own dugout for this one.
(Been visitor for both previous games).

Hope we have someone left to pitch... Looks like we've now covered 45 innings this weekend (after winning game 1)!

You know Baylor fired their coach who just a couple of years ago was B12 coach of the year...yah think that they might be making room for the DBU guy in Waco? BTW I'll bet a dollar to a donut that the DBU roster has nary a player that was recruited by A&M or Texas.

Augie will be back at Texas!

    Lot's of interesting stuff yesterday..

Maryland stunned top seeded UCLA and is headed to Super Regional

NC State blew an 8-1 lead in the bottom of the eight and TCU wins 9-8 and advances to Super Regional

Rice after playing a 6 hour 20 innning game to reach the final vs ULaLa had no gas left in the tank and ULaLa advances to the Super Regional to face LSU.

Dallas Baptist beat VCU once yesterday, but couldn't do it twice and VCU advances to the Super Regional

Texas A&M got the win yesterday over CAL again, had to beat them twice. They advance to the Super Regional vs TCU.

5 SEC Teams in Super Regionals

4 ACC Teams in Super Regionals

2 Big 10 Teams in Super Regionals

1 Big 12 Team in Super Regionals

    4 Non-Power 5 Teams in Super Regionals

Big Surprise to me is only 1 B12 team.

I watched as much action as I could last night.
Felt bad for the NCSt kids...that was an epic implosion! (6 unearned runs at the end allow TCU to tie).
Went to bed before UCLA was knocked out.
I questioned them getting the #1 seed, and I seem to be vindicated in that.
As a matter of fact I thought a lot of the seeding was way off this year.
Ex: Cal was 3rd place in the PAC 12, and they get a #3 seed?
I can tell you those kids were ballers. Frustrated the hell outta me and I was only watching!
    How about VCU?!

Now I need the Aggies to blow away TCU on their way to Omaha.
    No more nailbiters!

Stat: Aggie pitching surrendered 7 runs in 55 innings over the weekend.
    Not too shabby.

Biggest Surprise is Zero Pac12 teams, given how big baseball is out west it's beyond shocking.

Only 1 team West of Ft. Worth....Cal State Fullerton.

    Down to 16.
    5 sites have SEC teams.
Not likely, but possible to have all make it to Omaha.
Of course if LSU gets knocked out I won't shed any tears...

Yup they defeated USC. Lead by a kid from the UK.

I thought it interesting that they last won a NC in golf in 1955 and they won in '40, 42, 47, and '55. I don't know why but I'm surprised that they won those championships in the 40's and 50's. I would have thought Men's Golf would have been dominated by Midwestern and Eastern Teams where all the old line Country Clubs are located.

Wow, your boys sliced them up in a hurry!
    Congrats!

Wish my guys played with half that intensity.
We're too busy goofing off to even field a throw to second on a steal attempt.
Kick it around and watch the guy advance to third who then scores on a sac fly costing another run.
It's infuriating to watch a team with a lot of talent, but no clue about the fundamentals.

Scott I watched a little of your game and have to agree that there were some missed opportunities. Hopefully you guys will put it together for tomorrow's game.

The Aggies rebound for a 2-1 win over the Toads.
Matt Kent has been nails his last three starts now.
Not sure who we have left for the rubber match.
