The Aggies start off the SEC tourney today against Kyle's Tide.

And of course we've brought our butterfingers along.
Boot of a double play ball in the first allows 2 unearned runs to cross.

As of now it's tied 3-3 in the 7th...

We have the worst middle infield I've seen in a while.

Thankfully the outfield is a sight better. Bama loads em in the ninth, but a runner gunned down from left field preserves the 4-3 lead.
    Ags face Vandy/Mizzou winner tomorrow.
A win should give us a good shot at a national seed.

Irish play NC State tomorrow morning. Louisville is the odds on favorite to win the ACC tourney.

Vandy saved their best pitching for tomorrow. I'd just like see the Aggies play a clean defensive game. If we can do that I'll be happy.

Well... the Aggies not only play a clean defensive game, they also chew up Vandy's ace to the tune of a 6-1 win.
Matt Kent throws a 4 hit complete game.
Saved his best of the year for today.

I watched ND lose 3-0 to NC State. The NCS pitcher handcuffed us for 7 innings, and the closer also shut us down. We play Virginia at 11 tomorrow morning if the rain holds off.

I saw a recap of your game Sid. Looked like that kid for NCSt really had it working. Sometimes you run into a day like that.

He did, Scott. In all, NC State pitching racked up 14 SO and held us to 3 hits.

The Irish bounced back today, beating Virginia 8-2. Up next is red hot Miami at 3:00 tomorrow. Miami plays NC State later today. Virginia is out with 2 losses, but the pool is up for grabs among the remaining 3 teams.

Well we're not as hot as we think we are Sid, NC State late hit dooms us to a 5-4 loss....

So now we both can't afford a loss....

Ah, there's the Efense I've come to know and love.
In a game that was 4-3 in the 5th, the Aggies give 3 extra outs, and the blow out is on.
Going to the 6th 5-3 is worlds different than 9-3.
Their pitching fooled us the rest of the way, so at best it ends in a two run loss, but that sure looks better than 12-3.
    Ugh.

AND... I'm not a fan of this format. The Aggies are eliminated at 2-1, losing to a team they already beat.
    :p

I think I'd like to do the pool format you ACC guys are doing.

I am not a fan of your format either Scott, give me the pool format any day..

Canes get a 6-5 win against the Irish who would not give up all the way to the end..Great game Irish...

Tough loss for the Irish. I hope we'll get an at large invite. Good luck Ralph.
