Big series this week in Austin, the resurgent Aggies visit Disch-Falk Field to take on the Longhorns. Longhorns sit on top of the SEC Baseball standings.

The return of some injured guys like Caden Sorrell has ignited the offense.
Still need some help in the pitching arena, but the Aggies have been playing well on the road so we'll see how it goes...

Longhorns get the sweep of the Ag's over the weekend and are headed towards winning the regular season SEC Championship and being the #1 seed in the Conference Tournament. Season has exceeded expectations for sure.

Didn't get to watch any, stupid ESPN+ is worthless if you don't have a service.
3 one run games make for a good series, just not a good outcome for my guys. Hopefully they get back on the winning track next weekend

A crack in the Longhorn wall???

Despite a 1-3 week that included a sweep at the hands of the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Texas Longhorns remained the No. 1 ranked team in D1Baseball’s top 25.

[Sign up for Inside Texas TODAY and get the BEST Longhorns scoop!]

The Longhorns traveled to Fayetteville, Ark. over the weekend to face rival Arkansas, and were swept in the Thursday-Friday-Saturday series. Texas dropped its first series of the season and suffered its first conference sweep as a member of the SEC, losing 9-0, 6-1, and 13-8.

Texas retained its lead atop the SEC, though its margin over the Razorbacks now sits at two games. Jim Schlossnagle’s club has series versus Florida and at Oklahoma remaining in the regular season.

Texas defeated Prairie View A&M in the midweek.

Well... I spent the weekend in Lubbock attending the youngest child's graduation so I had no time (and not much interest to be honest) to see how the Aggies imploded.
I have no idea what to think of this team. How you can seem to put it back together after missing a lot of your big lineup pieces and win series @ Tennessee, @ Arkansas and against LSU when all were ranked top 5, then get swept at home by O-fer Mizzou??
They had resurrected their post season life, but that is now gone.
Since they will be home after the UGa series, I'm now officially done with all men's college sports.
The NIL nonsense removed any semblance of attachment these players might have had.
I will finish the year pulling for the ladies softball team, but otherwise I'm out.
I will still read a lot of what you guys have to say each week, but I doubt I'll have much to contribute.

Hard to argue with you Scott, I'm not there right now but the current situation has no doubt hurt the College Sports.

Oh and the faltering Longhorns lost 2 out of 3 at home to Bill's Gators.

I see where Vandy won the SEC Championship defeating Ole Miss this afternoon. They undoubtedly have the worst looking uniforms I have ever seen?:(

Softball is in the WCWS in Oklahoma City now. Strong field with some high profile pitchers. The Million Dollar gal from Kansas in Nijaree Carnady for newbie Texas Tech and then the Tenn pitcher who has hit almost 80mph on the radar, Karlyn Pickens. Oklahoma is going for it's 5th straight title.

Wright State and UTSA? Who had them knocking off Vandy and Texas to move on to the Super Regionals?

As the Longhorn men were crashing and burning their way to the offseason, the women were making their way to the WCWS final vs the winner of the OU/Texas Tech game...well OU has to beat super pitcher Nijaree Canady 2 times so they aren't likely to do that and it'll be an all Lonestar state final.

Nijaree had her way with OU, so it's Texas vs Texas Tech in a best of 3 series for the Championship.

I watched that game. A good friend is a Murray State alum and is techno ignorant, so he couldn't get ESPN+. It was wild. At one point MS was up 12-3 then barely held off a furious effort by Ole Miss to overcome the deficit. MS survived and advanced.
