Yikes! You know, for as internet/tech savvy as these kids are supposed to be, how did they think betting online was going to sneak under the radar??
Wake Forrest the consensus #1 in College Baseball? That's really something, lighting in a bottle type of year for them or have they got a coach who can really build and coach a Team. If he's that good can they keep him?
The Aggies got a much needed win over Tennessee today in the SEC tournament. For the first time this year... a starting pitcher got a win! (that'll tell you a little of our pitching woes) We might have been in the NCAA show without it, but I feel pretty good that we're in for sure now. Of course with our history of tournament picks lately... who knows.
I don't know what's in the water in Hoover, but I hope we bottle it and take it along wherever the Aggies go for the tourney! An entire season, no starter can finish a game. The Aggies have 2 one-hitters in the SEC tournament so far! WTF? What a good time to get HOT!
You can hear a guy yelling in the background "There's only 2 outs!" One thing that was always drilled into me as a player - know the situation!
2023 Regional hosts have been announced. The full field will be shown tomorrow at 11CDT. Auburn LSU Clemson South Carolina Coastal Carolina Arkansas Vanderbilt Kentucky Stanford Florida Miami Alabama Indiana State Wake Forest Oklahoma State Virginia
Pretty good article on the atmosphere at SEC Baseball games. It's certainly a big advantage for the SEC that shows up in how many good teams there are in the Conference. There was a time that the Pac 12 was what Bill Walton always liked to say is the Conference of Champions...but times have changed and that saying might have to refer to the SEC. ______________________ The Intimidator billboard. College baseball's most colorful, creative and crowded atmospheres are not exclusive to but overwhelmingly belong to one conference, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in SRO with eardrums ringing from College Station to Gainesville. The SEC is amateur hardball's biggest party, seemingly no matter which of the league's 14 venues one chooses to visit. And these top-ranked environments are also home to some of the top teams in the country, too, with five SEC teams ranking in the top 10 of the latest D1baseball.com poll. Beer showers, cowbells, Woo Pigs: Welcome to the wide world of SEC baseball
Only one surprising development so far in the tourney: In the Stillwater regional, the 3 and 4 seeds occupy the winners bracket, while Ok St and DBU will play an elimination game shortly. The Aggies got past CSFU and will face Stanford to see who gets the upper hand in Palo Alto tonight. Terry's Horns will face off against Ralph's Canes for the same in Coral Gables. Of possible interest to you midwestern boys: Indiana beat West Virginia and will face Kentucky to see who gets the driver's seat in that regional, and Indiana St goes against Iowa for that region's top dog status.
Tough bracket for the Tide softball ladies. Was Montana Fouts 100%. OU is going to be extremely difficult to beat they have more of a talent advantage over the field than Georgia and Alabama Football have over the rest of the SEC.
