Irish fans are already worried that if Elko gets the Bengals job that Jimbo will look towards Irish DCoord Clark Lea and dangle $$$$ at him since he was Elko's chief lieutenant and now has an excellent year as a DCoord under his belt. Might think that bringing in Lea would allow continuity on defense.

Former Texas Longhorn and Houston Cougar Head Coach, Major Applewhite, is going to Alabama to be an Analyst. I also saw where former UNC Head Coach, Larry Fedora, has been added to Tom Herman's staff at Texas as an Analyst. I guess for these guys it's a good way to stay in contact with the game if they don't have any options as Head Coaches/Asst Coaches. I doubt if they make a lot of money, but in Major's case he's got 1.95M as his buyout from UofH so he's probably OK, but I imagine he wants to continue to coach as it's doubtful he's got so much money in the bank he can retire.

Did anybody see the blast that Jerry Krill took on P.J.Fleck? He basically said he didn't like him and didn't think he cared about anybody but himself. Might be true, but I'm pretty surprised that a respected coach like Krill would come out and say that stuff, even if P.J. was a bad person.

That's kinda bush league but Coach Krill never gave a **** what anyone thought. Is it just a hot take or does he have a point? I'm not close enough to know, but either way, people will be taking a closer look at PJ.

Here's the shocker for today. Greg Schiano quit his job at New England, said he needed to focus more on his faith and his family.

LSU AD Joe Alleva is going to retire, the speculation is that Texas A&M AD Scott Woodward is their top target. He's an LSU grad and a Baton Rouge native.
