As a fan I've grown to like some of the changes they have made to uniforms. I've thought the Oregon uniforms were really cool for the most part, and the once a year uniforms that a lot of teams use for big rivalry games or in ND's case for the Shamrock Series are also mostly very cool.

I like our Gold Helmets and Gold Pants with either Navy or White Jersey's. But 1x a year to have some special uniform is great to me. Texas fans are more like Alabama fans they don't like anything new, even though the uniforms now are not the same as the ones in 1960...but the changes have been slow and minor.

I think the NFL sometimes loses their minds with some of their thowback uniforms, I mean some of the Pittsburg uniforms I'd be embarrassed to put on if I were a Steeler. Astros have about 3 different uniforms and they aren't the same year to year, not a big deal to me.

Not me Terry. I looked back and compared the uniforms of the 70's to the Alabama uniforms last year and the differences (in appearance) were extremely minor. I think we added stripes to the pants, names on the jerseys and the technology of the helmets. Other than that I think Coach Bryant would have no problem recognizing them. And I like it like that. 8)

Wow some new revelations with regards to Art Briles and the ongoing Baylor scandal. They have released a bunch of his text messages and they are frankly shocking. I doubt if he'll ever work again, at anything. I hope he manages the money he got from Baylor to settle his contract well because it's going to have to last him the rest of his life.

Anybody see the stuff about Lane Kiffin out clubbing at a place that is mostly college kids and recent post grads. Somebody tweeted a picture of him with some 20 something girls, not sure if they were co-eds or not. But if I'm the FAU AD I'm having a meeting with Kiffin about his behavior.

Now he is single for sure, and certainly entitled to go out and have a good time. But he needs to think about his current job, his reputation, etc. Maybe somebody should get Larry Eustacy to do an intervention on partying with co-eds.

Baylor can't seem to catch a break, now one of the guys Matt Rhule brought with him for the Strength and Conditioning program gets caught in a Prostitution sting. They summarily fired him of course.

Hell there was friction between kp and Sark as well. If I remember correctly kp wasn't thrilled with the play calling in the Na'tl Title game. Run the damn ball if I remember correctly!! :)

Sooooooo I'm predicting the return of Chollie Weis to OCoord ...at Alabama!! :)

Well, I was going to give him a pass because he was new, but Alabama couldn't put together enough first downs to keep the Clemson offense off of the field. I wonder if Saban drove him to drink?

As great a Hall of Fame coach as Saban is did he perhaps make a faux pas and run Kiffie off prematurely?

Would Bama have fared better vs. Clemson if Lane had stayed put through the title game?

I don't know, MCG, our offense in the championship game looked an awful lot like the offense against Washington. I hope there is open competition at QB this spring.

After our terrible showing against Clemson, Urban decided he needed to make some offensive changes. Consequently, Warriner and Tim Beck (QB Coach) in effect were left go. They both found jobs quickly and Kevin Wilson is now the offensive coordinator and Ryan Day is the new QB coach.

Scott do you have any sense of this being a make or break year for Sumlin? He does have a winning record at A&M, never has had a losing season, but the SEC record is stuck at .500 Fast starts slow finishes.

I saw some speculation that Chad Morris is waiting in the wings for the A&M job.

That depends on who you listen to.

There's that contingent of fans who are never happy that are calling for Sumlin to be let go months ago. Then there are the folks who remember what happened the last time we got rid of a coach who wasnt winning quite enough.
My true feeling is if KS were to have a sub .500 season next year then anything could happen.
Barring that I don't think he needs to worry..

People have been speculating about Chad since he first started coaching at Clemson. I think he'd be a good choice but he'll have to wait a bit...

New Oregon coach Willie Taggert not exactly getting off to a great start. His S&C coach sent 7 players to the hospital and his Co-OCoord was arrested recently for DUI and resigned and now their WR coach who was also new resigned and took a job at UCLA.

The Purple Wizzard (Bill Synder) has announced he's battling throat cancer.

According to him his prognosis is good and he plans to continue coaching. I hope he does, nobody does more with less than he does.

Not only will Nebraska have former ND DCoord Bob Diaco as the new DCoord for the Black Shirts. He is bring out of retirement, former ND DB coach Bob Elliot. Elliot was well respected around ND, and has since his retirement due to health problems been working with the football program as a "Special Asst" to the HC. If he's up to it, he's a very good coach.

Yeah I think Elliot has been a good coach for a long time. I just am surprised that he is back in the game after a few years off for health issues. He's no spring chicken, but he is a good guy to have on your staff.

    BTW condolences on Reyes.

Interesting...Saban is talking to Brian Daboll for the job as OCoord. He is currently the Patriots TE coach, but has been a coordinator for the Browns and the Chiefs and was the QB coach for the Jets when Farve was the QB.
