Well one UT athlete responded to the new program in a positive way, DeMarvion Overshown, said..

“We are one,” Overshown tweeted after the announcement of changes. “There is still work to be done. Thank you to the true fans for all of the support. We are truly thankful for you guys. We will continue to push for not only changes on campus but around us as well. ‘What starts here changes the world,’ so let’s change the world.”

Another addressed the Eyes of Texas. I do wonder how this will all go down. Will we see all the black players leave the field and the white players stay or will the whole team leave, will Tom Herman and the coaches stay and sing. Of course it might be Sept 2021 before we find out.

Football player Caden Sterns said he will not sing the song, which players traditionally do at the end of each game. Players will not be required to stay on the field for the song.

“(I) want to thank the students, athletes, administration, alumni and those behind the scenes working who made this happen,” Sterns said. “I’m not disappointed. I’m understanding on people’s perspectives on what the song means to them, and I get both sides. I do think it’s important that those who partake are informed and educated of the roots of the song and how it came about.”

I probably am reduced to two teams I will watch at this point; the New York Yankees and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Gave up the the NFL three years ago and the NBA over ten years ago.

I am prepared to see the Irish do something very stupid here which will drive me away. If anybody takes a knee or does some other stunt that is visible or if the University itself follows Princeton's lead and starts caving in to the mobs that will do it for me. Because of their Wall St approach to their image I thought the Yankees may be above it but there are murmurs of possible kneeling.

I grew up a Reds fan but yesterday I saw photos from their training camp where the players were working out in BLM black t shirts including lily white Canadian Joey Votto. Hasta la vista, babies !

George I think you are going to see kneeling all across the sports world. Those players that don't kneel will be attacked on Twitter/Instagram, etc.

I remember how disappointed I was to see the ND Ladies BB team wearing tee shirts that said "hands up don't shoot." That was the last big lie that so many bought during, ta da, the last election year. When the smoke cleared and the sworn testimony was given, it turned out that Michael Brown was not shot in the back while he was running away, he was shot trying to grab the police officer's gun. All those protests were based on lies fed to the gullible. There have been a number of studies including one by Harvard on the use of deadly force by police officers and the race of the suspect. Once again this whole "movement" is complete ********.

The national news heavily covered a story about a man who died of Covid after attending a *Covid party*. Supposedly, his last words were regretting doubting that Covid exists.

Now, it appears that the story was likely invented

'NYT' Runs COVID Story With Unconfirmed Sources | National Review

Clearly, the disease exists and has wrecked havoc upon the world. But, creating fables only serves to cause more people to become more skeptical about the media’s veracity and makes the job of those who are trying to contain the virus harder.

This is my favorite part of the story. "In fact, the story seems to have changed several times since publication, in order to salvage the Times’s own credibility" Credibility???? Two years of Pulitzer Prize winning fiction on the Russian Collusion. They have zero credibility.

Since George "Kirby" ( as Nancy Pelosi calls him ) was killed by the four cops in Minneapolis, we have had 13 black children die by gunshot in the US. All presumed or known murdered by black gang members. One was a one year old strapped in a stroller. Sell that Black Lives Matter horse **** somewhere else.

14 people shot at funeral for another shooting victim in Chicago and the Mayor blames Trump and refuses his help once again. Chicago is like Beirut in the 70s.
Nancy Pelosi calls her own Federal law enforcement personnel " storm troopers

Looks like Jo Co will need to teach Dr. Fauci how to throw the flattened curve.

The inmates are running the asylum. Who's supervising the election?
