I'll challenge this erroneous statement. My company just is now reforming in the office after 3.5 months of emote working. We never laid off anyone. We never forced anyone to come in. When you come to work here the first thing that happens is that your temp I taken in the lobby with a witness and initialed and you use the hand sanitizer. One a week you fill out and sign a general health questionnaire. Everything in our offices are wiped down every day. No outside visitors are allowed in. When we have to send a tech to a customer site they are armed with masks, gloves and wipes. I have probably been a part of at least 100 Zoom meetings. For our efforts we have remained healthy so far. We have also seen our year over year revenue numbers go from +31% to -19% since March 16. Now you tell me how many left wing progressive anarchist groups can match our protocols.
In a move that is the opposite of stupidity, the Mississippi Legislature has approved the retiring of the current state flag and will design a new flag to represent the state. I was worried that this might become an ugly fight but instead it was just the opposite. The only fly in the ointment IMHO is that they wiil have a commission design the flag, they mandated "In God We Trust" be on the flag which might stir some controversy and it will be voted on Nov 3rd. If the voters don't approve it then they go back to the drawing board
Want to bet that the great 4th of July celebrations all across the country from the Boston Pops, to the Capitol 4th and all the other great celebrations big and small that celebrate the great history of this country will be marred with all sorts of protests.
Many fireworks displays will surely be marred by the new spikes in Covid and the resultant drastic adjusments and/or cancellations.
Exactly, Scott. Nearly all parades and fireworks celebrations have been cancelled in SE Wisconsin. A few small towns are having fireworks but the location of where they will be launched will not be announced until just before the event and the residents are asked to watch the show from their homes. But, private fireworks vendors are everywhere and staring two weeks ago, our neighborhood sounds like a war zone after 9 p.m.
My neighborhood has been a war zone all year. Many of my neighbors are Central Americans who don't understand our holidays. They shoot off fireworks and guns on Flag Day, Memorial Day, Presidents Day, MLK Day, New Years Day, Cinco de Mayo and the 4th of July...
The Seattle CHOP Zone or is it the CHAZ I forget, after they cleared it out. What a mess, I'll bet most of those who were occupiers would claim they are environmentalists!
Jo Co. Is the answer right near his death when he first realized that Crazy Horse and his fighters were on the hill behind him and was thus surrounded?
Nice video of the art fair aftermath. And now the tax paying adults in Seattle have to clean up meds left after the kids temper tantrum. But, they voted for her so karma prevails once again.
If you visit the Custer battlefield you'll see how the land rolls like waves in the ocean. As Custer approached the indian village he could see only a portion of it the rest being hidden by topography. I've read that the idea was to draw braves away from the village with part of his forces and then take the women and children hostage to have a bargaining chip to get them to return to the reservation. He probably saw about a quarter of the village from a distance and when the size of their forces was known, it was too late and welcome to the Happy Hunting Grounds.
Can any of you recommend a definitive account of Custer's Last Stand? I was at the West Point military museum and they have a number of his papers on display.
Sorry, George, I had read a really good one 25 years ago but can't for the life of me remember which one it was. JoCo should be able to come to the rescue...
It is not the a definitive account, but read Stephen Ambrose’s Crazy Horse and Custer which is an easy read about their lives and goes into detail about Little Big Horn.
