Yes sir, that is correct. I was being a smart ass. Sometimes I forget how passionate you ND folks can be. My apologies if I upset anyone. My intent is humor and a little friendly eye poking as usual. BTW, Turner Gill? huh? huh? whatcha think?
Takes one to know one. That's why I was able to interpret what you were saying. 8) Turner Gill would be a good choice. Excellent pedigree and experience as an assistant. I don't know much, but I think they are looking at coaches with successful records at so-called higher level D-1 programs vs. the so-called mid-level conference programs.
They passed on him at his Alma Mater (Neb) when they hired Pellini. He needs a lot more seasoning than his gig at Buffalo.
I agree, Terry. When I said he would be a good choice, I was being diplomatic. I don't want to burn my bridges with either A.J or Turner. You can surmise from my entire reply that I think he definitely will be a good choice for someone, just not ND at this time. He strikes again!
I see Sid, you're hoping A.J. will don the Marine Corp Dress Uniform one more time and stand guard over your casket when the time comes, right?
You've got me figured out. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll do it for a civilian. I'll probably have to settle for sentry from my old cub scout pack.
I figured it out AJ.........The Big Red is missing it's "name" mojo. Irving Fryer, IM Hipp, JC Penney, Redwine, etc. etc. Pellini needs to sign one of those type names up this year.....get that mojo back.
