My memory was of an Ohio State offense that could not be stopped by the ND defense.....11 possessions, 1 punt - only two possessions that did not end deep in Irish territory or the Irish endzone, one of which was a fumble deep in our own end. I recall turnovers and sloppy special teams play and indeed a game effort by the Irish kids taking advantage of their opportunities and fighting gamely to hang on and give themselves a chance......and they did. But at the end of the day, you have to give the ball back, and when our offense had the ball, there can be no reasonable dispute, it was a clear mismatch. But a very entertaining game.....
No doubt you guys were the better team. But as we all know the better teams doesn't always win, sometimes they don't put away the opponent and it bites them. It didn't in this case. :wink:
