Osborne cracked the top 10 once.....one time in 25 years.

IMHO there's not that much discrepancy between the # 1 rivals rated position player, and the #40.

Accross the board in all positions, these kids have good speed, strength, and FB savy...or they wouldn't be at a Div I school...the rest they'll have to be taught. Can you teach heart and discipline?...or do you just teach the mission?....because I honestly believe when you indentify the existence of those items, take the i outa team, familytize it, then it's heart and coaching.

Substance over style baby....better in the long run.

Good points.... and I think that was the basis of Urban Meyer's philosophy and it obviously worked out well for him.

We got some special players... at least the names are special to Tennessee fans.

Elliott Berry (Safety) and Evan Berry (Conerback) are the younger brothers of Eric Berry, the Safety that was an interception magnet in his days at Tennessee.

Dillon Bates is the son of phenom Bill Bates (except for one play in one game against Georgia that tarnished an otherwise great UT career) who went on the star on the Dallas Cowboys despite his lack of height. Bill Bates had the heart of a lion and I hoe that is hereditary.

AJ, I always think of Nebraska's great teams when the recruiting rankings come out. I think the rating services all feed off of each other and reinforce each others ratings. I am glad that Alabama went heavy with OL and DL recruits. :)

I agree with AJ as well, we won all those championships"years" ago with one ranked class if memory serves right, and that was something like 20.

This years class was ranked as high as # 10 in one recruiting service and it was not good enough for the experts. I wonder what last years Duke team was ranked as they embarrassed us....

Here is another example of more experts at work.
