Yeah I get excited when I read about Greenberry too. A real difference maker who can come in and do some big things right away for the Irish. Like you, I'm trying not to get too excited cause everyone in the country is still after this kid and I'm just hoping he stays true to his verbal to ND.</t>

As you know he's Tee Shepards cousin, and I hope that Tee is apparently solid to ND wiil help hold him. Kiffin is putting the bull rush on him this weekend after his football game. That always worries me.

Here are the guys eligible for the 5th year.

Here are the players eligible to return in 2012:

    John Goodman, WR

    Deion Walker, WR
    Mike Ragone, TE (Sixth-year potential)

    Braxston Cave, C
    Mike Golic Jr., C
    Lane Clelland, T/G

    Kapron Lewis-Moore, DE

    Sean Cwynar, NG
    Hafis Williams, NG
    Brandon Newman, NG

    Anthony McDonald, ILB
    David Posluszny, ILB

    Jamoris Slaughter, S
    Dan McCarthy, S

I can't see Kelly bring back the Guys in Red.

I think the guys in Blue are at risk for not coming back.

I think the guys in Orange are locks to come back

I think the only reason M.Golic Jr. comes back is that he's Mike Golic Jr and his mom would go bonkers on twitter if he didn't come back.

    re: Deontay Greenberry

I will be watching the California State Championships on TV tomorrow and I'll post my opinions of what I see. This should be interesting. I saw John McKay Jr. and Pat Haden play almost every high school game they were ever in when they were at Bishop Amat. Without question, John McKay Jr. had the greatest hands of any high school WR that I ever saw and Haden is still the greatest high school player that I ever saw at any position. If this kid Deontay Greenberry is a 6'3" version of McKay Jr., then that would be something special indeed.

Don't hold your breath. This is a lower level championship game, while Bishop Amat spent most of 1970 ranked #1 in the nation. I'll report back here...

There is another WR named Westerkamp who is a Neb verbal that will be on campus this weekend. He could flip to the Irish, Pellini was pretty worried about it and went to his house this week to try and get him not to take the trip, he is one of their top recruits.

Earvin Johnson played high school ball at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles. I've been there many times, when I was a high school basketball player. It's located in Chinatown and it was very old, even in those days. He played his college ball at Nevada-Las Vegas when John Robinson was there.

FSU players are talking big, their QB said they expect to take advantage of our secondary and get off to a big start and they had a DB who said they expect to blow us out.

    I really hate those guys!

That's hillarious! How many teams has Florida State blown out this year? How many sets of Dbacks has their wonderful QB torched?
I hope they try to beat the Irish passing...

When I Googled a search to learn about this story, Google came back with multiple results:
    -FSU players arrested 2011
    -FSU players arrested 2010
    -FSU players arrested 2009
    - etc.

And when you recruit stupid thugs, you should expect to have them arrested.

Maybe those thugs were never taught to shower properly, I seem to remember a psychological theory that blames toliet training on some personality disorders.

Good article on Jordan Westerkamp the Neb WR recruit we're trying to steal from Neb. I have advice for him, I've seen the NEb QB throw, if he wants a catchable ball he needs to come to South Bend!! :)

Yeah and he doesn't have to run more than 15 yds. downfield in South Bend. That's the QB's limit.

Well he is white so probably that's about as far down field as he can get.

But fear not, with the heated competition between our own Nolan Ryan in Hendrix and our own Michael Vick in Gholson both with better arms than Rees and hopefully Gunner Kiel. We'll have that problem solved!
