    Hey Gonz
What was that big "Splat!!!" sound down on Biscayne Blvd. today? That couldnn't be the Heat getting swept could it? I can't wait, when is Reily going to dance?

Malloy.....good luck with the Bulls...you are going to need it....our team is crippled.....everybody is hurt...even Reilly had two surgeries.

What happened to Detroit vs Heat last season?

    Go Bulls

The Pistons lost in the conference finals which means they went deep in the playoffs. Just like getting swept in the first round isn't it.

When you dont get to be the NBA champ...it doesn't matter squat if you lose first, second, third, final......YOU LOST....YOU DID NOT MAKE IT.

Good luck.....you wont make it either....and your team is healthy

By the way, Detroit is the #3 leading in foreclosure failures in the nation.....almost 8% already you may win that one. :D

It's related to the auto industry. Miami probably doensn't have to worry. The cocane trade doesn't have downturns.

Terry, I agree completly, I'm interested in my Gators after they get to the NFL but it doesn't in any way diminish what they did in college.

Gators had 9 layers drafted but 4 of them were in the 7th round. One that I really didn't understand was Brandon Sieler who was our last player drafted late in the 7th round. He's a middle linebacker and was a winner in every way in college. It was thought he would be at least a 3rd round pick but just keep falling.

I think he makes in in the pros.

Gipper....I hope folks in your home town come up with a formula to turn Ford and GM products into food real quick.

Since they dont sell because they are junk.....perhaps you can eat them instead of having an outbreak in cannibalism

Detroit now occupies the third "most-polluted" city in USA

With Gipper out of town they drop to 10th

Detroit put the country behind the wheel and armed the country during two world wars. Just what has Miami done besides provide a home for OJ Simpson?

Gloria Estefan, Sunshine, Cuban food and South Beach...that beats junk cars and weapons of mass destruction with the occasional riot at the Palace....all the while choking on pollution and losing your house as you are freszing your ass off 10 months a year.

Well a draft update, the Gators did have two players go in the first round, and nine drafted overall. The most of any college.

I'm not bragging exactly, more commenting on the accuracy of Gonzo's predictions.

Detroit's air is worse than we thought.....a grown and graying babyboomer watching "youtube"!!!

    Question to all Detroit Citizens

Do you want to live in a frozen tundra now that you are probably jobless, perhaps homeless.....breathing repugnant air?

Would any of you rather be in Miami?....vibrant economy....no snow tires....a real college football team....yedayadayada?

    Hmmmmmmmmmm......

The handyman who does maintenance on our building where my office is located was all excited about going to Miami to visit his son who attended UM.

The day finally came and off he went, by himself, driving to Miami. When he got down there he must have pulled off the wrong exit. They found his body in the street, shot three times through the head. His car was gone.

    You can keep it.

The sport fans who live in Detroit are secure knowing that in this decade alone they have hosted The Super Bowl, The World Series, The Stanley Cup Finals, The NBA Finals, the Baseball All-Star game, and the US Open, The PGA Championship, and the Ryder Cup.
We have 1/5 of the world's fresh water and more registered boat owners than any state in the union. In the winter we ski, snowmobile, and ice fish. We live here because we like it and when we're old and ready to die, it will be time to join the other living dead in Miami.

    Pretty good points Gipper.

The weather is almost an equalizer to all those points but it does illustrate how much this area offers other than bad winter/spring weather.
