 Lets see how wrong I and the experts are by mid season....all I can tell you is to expect the very worst...and hope for a miracle at ND "Carlson may be the best TE in the country. Armando Allen (from Hialeah Miami Lakes) and Clausen were 5 star recruits." Who?? "Notre Dame must identify its quarterback from a three-man candidate pool (Evan Sharpley, Demetrius Jones and Jimmy Clausen) that has combined for two collegiate pass attempts. There are questions at outside linebacker, wide receiver and along the defensive line, where the only returning starter, Trevor Laws, is moving from tackle to left end. " Wow......just seven starters coming back.....of all three QBs they are a combined two pass attempts "He just basically [talked] about the 1-7 comment," safety Tom Zbikowski said, referring to the prediction ESPN analyst Mark May made for the Irish "You have to prove all the disbelievers wrong." 2004 6 31 5.2 12 0 0 0 2005 7 56 8.0 22 1 0 0 2006 47 634 13.5 62 4 These are TE Carlson's three years at ND.....a grand total of 4 TDs over 3 seasons and 60 catches for a woeful three year track record. Ergo....you got real experts predicting a 1-7 start....you got 3 QBs who have attempted two passes....and a TE who's produced 4 TDs in his best season...then you got a D without a clue and a new coach....and seven returning starters. Sure, hit the bottle.....well before gametime....maybe you'll pass out and wont find out the final score till the next day. Good luck
We could also start a "Caveman of the Year" Mr. Sensitivity board and I know there would be stiff competition from Skyboxers here to be Chairman. Good thing I didn't post the "RoboGators" topic that TOK did. I guess I'll have to resort to letting others post on UF or better yet just wait until the Gators start losing and then it will be just fine I'm sure for me post on Florida again. :?
 HuskerObject....I wont even bother to look at Nebraska's chances of being anything significant....they are below ND....at least ND loses with dignity but Corneaters wont be far behind in the loss column....probably six "L" s for Neb. Miami's future is bright....very bright
Well, we're 1-0 just like the Thugs. We however hung 52 pts on a team you only beat by 1 last year. ADVANTAGE: The Motherlands Team. (But it always has been, because people like Cornhuskers, and despise thugs)
   Sorry it took a while to post......I was in the Keys with my son and his friends after watching Miami at the Orange Bowl demolish Marshall. BUT....we did catch a bit of the ND game.........Woweee.....a tad over 100 yards passing for all 3 of NDs QBs and less than ZERO RUSHING yards while giving up what could have been sixty points if only GaTech didn't play all their subs in the second half. Oh....your best bet for a W could be Michigan.....just think.....a loss to Michigan who lost to a Div 2 team in ASU....that could be a brutal psychological stab !!! Oh well......who's wrong......The Gonz ...no....I'm good....real good
