I see that we have a monument in DC to FDR. Here's a president whose administration racially profiled tens of thousands of American citizens. These citizens were detained for years during WWII. This was perhaps the most blatent depravation of Civil Rights in the 20th century and none of those administration members every was made to answer for their wrongs. How many hundreds of millions did LBJ piss away trying to prop up the puppet government of South Vietnam? Who in that administration had to answer for that? Leave it to TODAY'S Liberal media folks to come up with this crap.
JFK might not have won the 1960 election without La Cosa Nostra either. Joe Kennedy reportedly went to Sam Giancana for help in the West Virginia primary against Hubert Humphrey and again in Chicago in the general election. In exchange JFK would reportedly look the other way re: organized crime. Instead he appointed Bobby as AG who promptly named that same organzied crime as his #1 initiative. Giancana died violently in his own home. JFK died violently as well. As did Bobby five years later. H'mm.
MCG, if you like the idea of living in a Banana Republic where the previous administration ends up dead or in jail then this article should be right up your alley. I would probably recommend moving to Venezula (I know it's spelled wrong) if you approve of this approach. It should make you very happy until you end up on the wrong side. What a bunch of garbage.
Dave, I think you said it with a qualifier which is hardly saying the opposite. If you don't agree with the author then say so plainly.
I am saying Bill that the guy has some harsh criticisms which share in my opinions of Bush/Cheney over the years but still I am not in agreement with prosecuting the previous administration for alleged misdeeds.
Point was he wanted to post an article laying out criticisms of Bush. He did say right off the bat he was not in favor (personally) of prosecuting the administration...thus justifying his defense of himself when accused of wanting to behave like a Banana Republic. Dave, you also did use the qualifier "personally" which weakens the statement (are you "professionally" in favor or did it mean that though you are not claiming to be in favor you are cutting a lot of slack to those who are and are cheering them on?)...thus justifying Bill's question about wanting to live in a Banana Republic. We done nitpicking now, boys?
