OSU HIRES BILL MOSIELLO AS BASEBALL COACH Ohio State hires former TCU associate head coach Bill Mosiello as its new head baseball coach. Never a head coach but 35 years experience. Surprised he is leaving Texas? Anything you might want to share with us Scott or Terry.
Disappointing Terry, but nothing new for the Buckeyes. Hopefully we will see some improvement next year, but I am not holding my breath.
Kind of the same for the Irish, Don. Some good some bad, a disappointing finish to the season. He wasn't left a roster full of talent though. When you look at the baseball in the SEC you can see why LSU had such great talent. They have a facility that ND can't match and they get a huge crowd at every home game. When they go on the road in the SEC they play before big crowds as well. Irish can't fill up a 3K stadium that is nice but can't hold a candle to the SEC venues. Result is between the better weather and the better facilities and game atmosphere, the best players from all over the country are attracted to the SEC. Skenes was a California kid. They had a UCLA transfer start last nights game. Back in the day when USC was winning 12 Nat'l Titles, Calif kids stayed on the West Coast.
